OBN continues human trafficking enforcement in the OKC metro

The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Human Trafficking Unit has made multiple recent arrests in the Oklahoma City area.

One of those arrests is Brenton Dewayne Parker, 28 (also known as “Dode”). OBN says agents recovered a victim during a 2025 operation and later connected Parker to facilitating that person’s commercial sexual exploitation. He was arrested on Sept. 17 on charges of pandering and aiding and abetting in prohibited acts.

In a separate but related period of enforcement, OBN has also charged individuals in cases where the victims included children. These cases underscore that trafficking does not only involve adults, minors are being exploited as well.

The Demand Project was honored to be part of the Bixby Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Rooted & Rising Women’s Leadership Conference yesterday! It was an empowering day focused on equipping and inspiring women at every stage of their leadership journey.

We were grateful to have our CEO, Kristin Weis, in attendance alongside Blue Flame 47! And a special thank you to Oklahoma Disaster Restoration for inviting our Donor Developer, Jamie Miller, to join their table.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow community leaders, hear from incredible speakers, and strengthen local partnerships.

We had an incredible volunteer workday out at Mount Arukah this past weekend!

A huge thank you to the team from Solid Rock Realtors, who came out and put in some amazing work. They tackled outdoor manual labor to help us prep the campus as summer winds down, and they transformed a space in one of our residential houses into an amazing therapy room.

Creating safe, beautiful, and healing environments for our girls is a core part of our mission, and we couldn't do it without community partners who are willing to roll up their sleeves and serve.
