Located in one of Georgia’s fastest-growing communities, the Denmark Library was designed as a welcoming hub for education, creativity and connection. The 23,000 square foot facility provides flexible gathering spaces, technology resources and opportunities for lifelong learning.
Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for the new library, which features a curved layout with exposed structural elements throughout. A deep acoustical deck helped minimize the number of structural members, while architecturally exposed steel columns, beams and canopies became prominent features of the design. The curved south canopy follows the building’s radius, requiring careful structural coordination to maintain its clean, exposed appearance.

What’s the first thing a structural engineer looks at on a renovation project?
For Jay, it often starts overhead.
Looking at the roof joists helps our team understand how a building was originally designed and how it can support what comes next. That insight helps determine what can stay, what may need reinforcement and where a more customized solution may be required.
It’s all part of finding opportunities within existing spaces and helping clients make informed decisions about what’s possible.

With a background in the public sector, Purvi brings a unique perspective to Wallace and every project she touches. She enjoys work that is both challenging and rewarding, helping shape communities while collaborating with clients and teammates every step of the way.

Twenty-five years later, we remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We remain grateful for the courage and sacrifice of the first responders and all those who stepped forward to help in the days that followed.
We will never forget.

In Tulsa's Arts District, the Bob Dylan Center is dedicated to preserving the life, work and creative legacy of one of America's most influential songwriters. Home to more than 100,000 archival items, the museum invites visitors to explore rare manuscripts, photographs, recordings, artwork and memorabilia while inspiring creativity through immersive exhibits and public programs.
Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for the interior renovation, including structural analysis and design for artwork support throughout the museum. Our team also provided engineering direction for the support and anchorage of the iconic floor-to-ceiling entry gate, a one-of-a-kind feature designed with input from Bob Dylan himself.
