EMSA hosted members of the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride at our Oklahoma City headquarters this weekend as they traveled from Wichita Falls, Texas, to Wichita, Kansas. Riding with this year's group was EMSA Paramedic and Alternate Field Operations Supervisor Adam S. who biked in honor of Katie McBride.
Katie McBride was a beloved EMSA Field Operations Supervisor who passed away unexpectedly last year. Katie's memory and lasting impact on EMSA and our team members were recognized during the ceremony.
EMSA is proud to help honor the EMS professionals we have lost, but have not forgotten.

EMSA Advantage is underway in Oklahoma City!
Our newest group of trainees will spend the next 16 weeks becoming EMSA EMTs ready to serve their communities. This class includes former college students, a home remodeler, and even a livestock broker who bought and sold cattle. No matter their background, they all share the same goal: helping people when they need it most.
In addition to learning how to be an excellent EMT in the EMSA system, our trainees grow as people, developing into the compassionate responders our communities rely on every day.

📊 August 2026 EMSA Response & Transport Breakdown
Last month, responded to 25,274 911 calls and transported 18,805 patients across our Tulsa and Oklahoma City service areas. These numbers are very similar to July, and the reason won't surprise Tulsans and Oklahoma City residents - continued triple-digit temperatures.
EMSA continues to encourage Oklahomans to take precautions during extreme heat by staying hydrated and checking on vulnerable loved ones and neighbors.
