Discovery Lab inspires children, connects families, and builds community through exploration.
Discovery Lab is a nonprofit children's museum that was established in 2007. In May 2013, Tulsa Children's Museum, opened it's first facility, Discovery Lab in historic Owen Park. Discovery Lab moved to their new 57,000 square foot building in January of 2022. The museum is a changing landscape of exhibits and activities for children ages 2-12 and their families. This Saturday’s Saturday Night Lab falls on Talk Like a Pirate Day!
We’re looking for the saltiest scallywags to join our crew in celebrating by dressing up and talking like pirates from 5-7 PM.
Guests will receive complimentary eye patches while supplies last, build pirate ships in WorkShop, and give their best pirate impression!

THIS MONDAY 🎊
Discovery Lab is hosting a members-exclusive first look at Cardboard Colony, on September 14, at 9:30 AM, alongside its creators, Not Boxed In and Hot Toast Music Co.
During members-only hour, Discovery Lab members will be among the first to see and play in Cardboard Colony. At 10:30 AM, the exhibit will be open to the public with admission.
What makes this exhibit different from others at the museum is its materials. Everything, from decor to interactive activities, is made of cardboard and other recycled materials. Guests can crawl through life-sized ant tunnels, play music on a xylophone tree, solve puzzles, and participate in a scavenger hunt with hidden snails throughout the area. We encourage guests to get creative, get hands-on, and be mindful in this transformed space.
