Student of the Month! October = Responsibility

Braden Rowell- 12th
Braden has always been a responsible student, carrying a full load with many extracurricular activities. One thing that stands out to me regarding Braden’s fully developed sense of responsibility is whenever Braden is going to be absent, he emails his teachers regarding his absence. Furthermore, over the summer, Braden was very communicative with me regarding participation in Passage to Pride as a Pride Ambassador. Braden exhibits responsibility in all he does.

Carley Mendonca- 12th
Carley is a go to student! She is always willing to step-up and take on tasks and help her peers in a respectful and kind way. Carley is one of the most dependable students that I have ever had; I can count on her to always follow through and interact with peers and staff in a way that reflects what we stand for as the Pride. She is an excellent role-model and an extremely hard and determined young person!

Cameron Grizzle 10th
I have know Cameron for the last year and a half formerly his volleyball coach and now his World History teacher. Cameron shows responsibility by coming to class prepared, staying on task for work and communicates if he is absent what work he is missing. He is willing to help others if I am not able to get there in a timely manner to answer questions.

Abby Griffin 11th (Not Pictured)
Abby is one of those model students who really demonstrates what it means to be part of the Pride. She is honest, trustworthy, and dependable student. But that is just the beginning. Abby is the type of student that goes out of her way to help other students in need without being asked. I’m one of the lucky teachers that gets to have Abby Griffin in class.

We are so grateful for your continued support of Pitman High School and our students. Thank you for helping make this special tradition even more memorable!

Pitman High School will be having their annual Homecoming Parade on Friday, 9/25/26. We are excited to open up the parade to the community so that we can celebrate together and enjoy the students hard work. Please review the attached map to locate the area reserved for our community members. We will have seating available for spectators so no need to bring a chair. The entrance gate to the public seating is located next to the Activities Office (see red box on the attached document). The doors will open at 1:50 and the parade will start at 2:20. Please contact Assistant Principal Luis Jacinto at (209) 226-6550 if you have any questions. We hope you are able to attend and enjoy the festivities.

Start With Hello 👋
Start With Hello teaches youth how to minimize social isolation, empathize with others, and create a more positive and connected school community. Celebrate the school year ahead with kindness and community-building resources. Start With Hello Week is this September 21 – 25, 2026. Big thank you to our PHS clubs on campus that showed up this morning to START WITH HELLO!
