FACT: There are often warning signs.
These can include talking about wanting to die, withdrawing from friends or family, increased alcohol or drug use, significant changes in sleep or behavior, reckless behavior, saying goodbye, giving away meaningful possessions, or expressing feelings of hopelessness or being a burden. Warning signs can look different from person to person, which is why changes in someone's usual behavior are worth paying attention to.
