Some stories are hard to read because they leave you with one big question:
How could someone just leave?
That’s what makes this Longview crash case so upsetting.
Authorities say a fatal wreck took place, but instead of staying at the scene, the driver allegedly fled.
Now investigators are working to piece together exactly what happened and hold the person responsible accountable.
Cases like this hit differently because they involve not only a tragic loss, but also the frustration of knowing someone may have tried to avoid facing the consequences.

Texas is known for many things such as great food, wide open spaces and the Texas Holy Trinity of Whataburger, H-E-B and Buc-ee's. What you may not know is that Texas is also home to earthquakes. That doesn't mean we've had massive quakes that shook our homes to the foundation but we've had some that may have knocked a glass or two off the table.

Law enforcement in East Texas is warning families about a kidnapping-style scam designed to create fear, confusion, and urgency in just a matter of seconds.
The goal is simple: scare people into sending money before they can verify what’s actually happening.

Hospitals are supposed to be places where people feel safe.
A place to get help.
A place to heal.
A place where families can focus on their loved ones instead of worrying about potential danger walking through the front door.
That’s why one East Texas hospital is taking a new approach to security with AI technology designed to detect guns and explosives before they ever make it farther inside the building.
Supporters say it could add another layer of protection for patients, visitors, and staff.
And in a world where safety concerns are always top of mind, it’s the kind of move that’s going to get people talking.
Here’s what the new system does and where it’s being used 👇

Texas has seen mass growth over the last decade or so. A lot of that has to do with economics. Others moved here because of political strife. Most have loved the moved to our beloved Lone Star State.
There is one thing that many of our newbies either grossly underestimated or just didn't think was possible. It's a feeling that they didn't get from the state they moved from. That one regret for Texas newbies is underestimating the intense heat here during the summer.
