Leadership Tyler is an organization serving Tyler and Smith County, Texas.

The Leadership Tyler curriculum is intended to educate class members about the vital issues that affect our community as well as providing the leadership and stewardship tools necessary to address those issues and motivate others. Our curriculum focuses on the three pillars of leadership including: a wide knowledge base; leadership skills; and community trusteeship. This model guides our program and motivates participants to become faithful community leaders.

Meet Leadership Live 2026 Co-Chair, Luke Cummings! šŸ“£

Professionally, Luke serves as Senior Commercial Transactions Manager with the Genecov Group, but in his free time, he serves with organizations like The Children’s Park and Leadership Tyler. Luke is a proud graduate of our Core Program - Class 38.

Of the many motivators to invest in Tyler’s future and well-being, Luke says his very fun, active 2-year-old is the biggest! "Getting to invest back into Tyler is such a privelege. The longer I live here, I see more and more how imperative it is to partner together and take care for our community," he says.

We’re so grateful for Luke’s involvement and dedication to serve as a Co-Chair for Leadership Live this year! Help us thank him! šŸ‘

Meet our first Leadership Live 2026 Co-Chair, Kristen Brice! šŸ“£

By day, Kristen is the Regional Director of Outreach and Engagement with Ardent Health, but in her free time, she is an avid volunteer for many nonprofits in our community.

She’s also a proud graduate of our Core Program - Class 36, and she currently serves on our Board of Directors. Kristen says the opportunity to lead with purpose while planting roots in the community inspired her to get involved with LT. ā€œThis organization’s commitment to serving others aligns with my passion for making a lasting, local impact through strong, community-centered leadership,ā€ she says.

We’re so grateful for Kristen’s commitment and willingness to serve as a Co-Chair for Leadership Live this year! Help us thank her! šŸ‘

After five years of dedicated service to Leadership Tyler, we will soon celebrate the retirement of our Director of Alumni Relations, Jackie Cannon. 🌹

Since joining our team, Jackie has been the driving force behind the growth and success of our Alumni Association. Through her passion for building relationships, creating meaningful opportunities for engagement, and fostering a strong sense of community, she has helped transform our alumni network into one of Leadership Tyler’s greatest strengths.

Jackie’s unwavering commitment to our graduates and her belief in the power of leadership have left a lasting mark on our organization. Because of her vision and dedication, hundreds of Leadership Tyler alumni are more connected, engaged, and invested in serving our community.

While we will certainly miss Jackie’s warmth, enthusiasm, and servant heart, we are incredibly grateful for the foundation she has built and the legacy she leaves behind. Her impact will continue to be felt for years to come through the relationships she nurtured and the programs she helped create.

Please join us in congratulating Jackie on her well-earned retirement and thanking her for five remarkable years of service to Leadership Tyler. We wish her all the happiness, adventure, and many more cruises as she enters this next chapter!
