Lisa Rachel Horlander

I was recently asked whether I have a Patreon account or another way to support my artwork and the creative support I offer to the community (the podcast and art studio).

Why, yes! I do happen to have just that.
I promise to be better at sharing these ways to access my art and events.

Also, I am updating things now that I know y’all are watching, so check it out and tell me what you think (please be honest but nice, lol!).

Cheers!

A little bit about my life and a big thank you!

My family is passionate about cats. We have volunteered to support local cat rescues and all of our cats ever have been some type of rescue situation.

This is my son Asher and his cat Gato. Asher took his first road trip and while he was gone Gato got sick and we got very lucky to get him to the vet in time and he is recovering. But ya'll! That vet visit hit hard and right when we had several house repairs needed (rains it pours). Last week at our open studio night I had a sale and my local patrons truly supported our sweet kitty fund😻👍

Thank you for the continued support of my art as well as helping us get this baby better and affordable to also buy the insainly expensive cat food he has to eat now. Asher and Gato are so thankful.

Flash back to my Solo Show the end of 2025 and start of 2026 :)

Here, the unsaid has shape. In Interstitial Spaces, Lisa Horlander sculpts the subtle pauses of perception into luminous presence—mapping out the quiet architecture of transition, breath, and in-betweenness. Her work invites us to dwell in the overlooked, to witness the resonance of what exists not in grand gestures but in the soft intervals of our days. Step into the quiet pulse of what lies between.

Now on view at Ro2 Art until January 24!

Check it out!
Its an honor to have my painting included in this exhibition 😎 if your in DFW go see some of my favoite artists work and my painting "Near Miss"

Scroll to see some of my inspiration and story (and cats!).

Ive included a teaser picture of my paintings (unfinished) I'm working on. Ive gone back to the basics here also, paining on pre-made canvases........which is honestly harder now! Lol! How do I fit in these boxes? Can the image create the depth ive played with in sculptures? Will it capture lighting as a still object? Can it flow like watercolor?

Let's catch up!
InBetween Studio is having an open studio

July 17th from 4 to 7

I will have some of my new work up and some woodblock prints for sale 😎👍

Cheers!

Did you know I have a Redbubble Account with a few select abstract paintings available as phone cases, mugs, and other fun items? Check them out (link is in my bio)!

I recently had a family member give me the advice to start my own online sales, like Redbubble. I was reminded that many new friends on here (and many long-time friends) might not realize what I already have available and how to find what's for sale.

If you are interested in original art, please always feel free to reach out to me with questions. I still have a few of my older abstract paintings, and on rare occasions, I have time to take commissions. Of course, my sculptures and teabag prints (and other woodblock prints) are also available.

I also have an active Portfolio (also on my bio and website) where you can see all of the artwork I have available, past work, and a button if you want to inquire about purchasing. I also show and sell artwork at my shows and open studios.

Each sale helps me keep my studio open, buy more supplies, and all of the other bills it takes to keep making art ;)

As the summer heats up, I'm enjoying the AC in my studio as I get teabag prints for an upcoming show ;)

I'm reminded of my original ideas of capturing the ritual of waking up for me, tea. Each print showcases the colors of the sunrises I documented and the moments that blur into each other as time flies by. Time has no care for the details, only movement, like a river or like the clouds passing on their way.
