Welcoming Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students to the 2026-2027 school year!
THE NEED
The families of North Tyler are interested in quality academic options. While Tyler's public schools are striving for improvement, many families are under-served or disenfranchised in their neighborhood schools. Tyler’s charter schools operate on a lottery system and are far from this community, south of the loop. The abundance of private schools in Tyler are all south of Front Street, and most of them are also south of the loop. Even if these schools were more geographically accessible, the financial chasm between already reduced tuition and the reality of many families is often impassible. Families are left hoping that their sons and daughters are accepted to one of the magnet elementary schools or “win the lottery” at one of the charter schools. THE MISSION

Promise Academy is founded on the conviction that all children are created for God’s glory and endowed by Him with an undeniable potential to acquire wisdom and knowledge. We join families in equipping their children to become responsible servant-leaders of the 21st Century, striving to create a school culture that is committed to the truth, discipline, and values of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We work to mobilize educational, business, church, and community leaders toward the goal of serving the children of Tyler with an excellent education. This inter-denominational school will seek to raise up kingdom citizens who work for justice, economic opportunity, racial harmony, hope for the family, and joy in their communities.

This week, our Promise Academy family celebrated Hispanic Heritage by honoring the Hispanic community's beautiful cultures, traditions, and contributions.
From our festive decorations to students and teachers proudly celebrating their Heritage, it was a wonderful week of culture, learning, and celebration!

Today, the Ladies of Mary Tyler DAR visited Promise Academy to talk with our students about the Constitution. During lunch, our students learned about its importance and recited the Preamble together.

We were honored to welcome Mayor Stuart Hene to our school today! Our students had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about our community. Our 5th graders also presented him with letters from the whole school. 💌
Our Head of School, Jon Lasse, also gave Mayor Hene a tour of our campus. We’re grateful for the time he spent with our students!

Today, our Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Marshall, and her class got to see their R.I.S.E. project come full circle! ❤️
Our students collected bottled water and Gatorade to bless our local firefighters working in the Texas heat, and today, the firefighters came by to collect their donations.
We are so proud of our little leaders for putting compassion into action! 👏
