Looks like Toyota is increasing the pricing of it's 2025 car line up by nearly 1500 to 2000 per car. Neat.
Meanwhile Teslas are about 30% less than they were 3 years ago.
Why is this?
Because EV's are cheaper to make as they scale out, like any electronic item. Internal combustion cars are far more complex and far more expensive to make.

They cost nearly the same when new.

Spec for Spec, a base Toyota RAV4 is worth $5000 more than a base Hyundai Tucson after 8 years.

At 14 years, the RAV4 is worth $3000 more and will still have about 10 more years of service life to it...they Hyundai is unlikely to make it this far, but if it did, it's on its last leg.

Why, on Earth, would you buy a Hyundai?

Tesla just put a nail into its coffin for growth.

One thing you will find in common with major manufacturers, which Tesla aspires to be, is having a entry level car around or under $25000.

There is NO car manufacturer selling cars in the USA that has ever broken 1 million cars domestically, without a sub $25000 car.

Be on the lookout for Rivian to fill this void, if they can survive for a few more years.
