Rules of Engagement for Official Tyler ISD Facebook Accounts
The Office of Communications and Public Relations provides Tyler ISD’s social media channels for the District community. We will update this page as often as possible with the latest news from Tyler ISD and our campuses. The creation of unofficial social media pages that use Tyler ISD, its logo, likeness, or any campus in the District should not be created. This includes Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Podcast, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, NextDoor, Reddit, and any other social media account. All comments posted on the campus or district page are at the discretion of the page administrators. The intent of these rules of engagement is not to keep any negative or critical information from being posted, but to protect the privacy and rights of Tyler ISD staff and students. Naming specific employees or students in a negative way will not be allowed. The page administrators will review all postings to make sure they align with these guidelines and the District’s Acceptable Use Policy regarding Internet access and postings. We welcome your thoughts and comments and look forward to what you have to say. However, we will not leave postings that:
Break the law or encourage others to do so. This includes respecting copyright and fair use laws. Contain abusive or inappropriate language or statements. This includes remarks that are racist, homophobic, or sexist, as well as those that contain obscenities or are sexually explicit. Easily identify students or staff in defamatory, abusive, or generally negative terms, or violate privacy laws. Do not show proper consideration for the privacy of others, or are considered likely to offend or provoke others in a negative manner. Are spam – i.e., repeatedly posting the same comment or comments that are simply advertising/promoting a service or product. Are completely unrelated to Tyler ISD or random in nature. Comments on the District’s page should pertain to the stated discussion topic and adhere to the guidelines of this policy. Contain links to inappropriate content, based on the District’s Acceptable Use Guidelines regarding Internet access. The page administrators reserve the right to remove any comments at any time, for any reason.

Opening day is here! The East Texas State Fair and Rodeo kicks off today, and some of our Tyler ISD students got a sneak peek before the gates even opened! Performers and riders stopped by campuses to share a taste of the fun, energy, and Western spirit heading to East Texas this week. 🎡🐎

Special Education Substitute Pay Opportunity
Tyler ISD is offering increased daily pay for substitutes serving in vacant Special Education teaching positions within the following designated units:
🔹 Life Skills (LS)
🔹 PATH
🔹 Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)
🔹 Adaptive Behavior Unit (ABU)
Pay Structure:
First 15 days: $115 per day
Beginning on day 16:
• 60 college credit hours, no bachelor’s degree — $130 per day
• Bachelor’s degree, not certified — $238 per day
• Bachelor’s degree with certification — $278 per day
The position must be vacant to qualify for this daily rate.
