Founders Classical Academy - Tyler

Top ranked seniors are attending the annual UT Tyler Top 25% celebration this morning on the beautiful UT Tyler campus.

Join us this weekend as our fine arts department puts on their annual variety show!

Our lady eagles volleyball team played in a 2-day NTAA tournament this weekend and came home with a 2nd place trophy for the cabinet! What a great end to the season!

Today, our first graders became scientists! We explored how we can use our five senses to describe matter—and we had SO much fun putting our scientist skills to work!

We used our 👀 sight, smell, touch, and of course TASTE! 😋

The students were excited to make observations, describe what they noticed, and share their scientific thinking. They especially loved using their sense of taste!

For our 9th biannual book fair, we are excited to announce a new partnership with Ignatius Books! Our sister schools in the Lewisville area have been using the fair for a while now and love it. Attached is a video explaining the mission and purpose behind Ignatius books, and why we've chosen it for our school.

Our fair dates are: OCTOBER 5-8th. Be on the lookout for more information regarding when your student's class will be visiting the fair, as well as a sign-up link for volunteering!

Every month Kindergarten has a saying of the month and the students draw pictures to hang on the Wonder Wall to reflect that saying. This month is “Great oaks from little acorns grow”.

Not to brag, but we have some seriously amazing students and teachers.

Mrs. Hopfer, our high school history teacher, does a history Catechism where there is a question and choral response at the beginning of every class. Students must copy the document by hand and illustrate it. Their journals become keepsakes to those with a little skill and a lot of perseverance.

Enjoy a scroll through the amazing work that has been done in Western Civilization I, II, and U. S. History!

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Kristina Cawthon, our new Dean of the Upper School! 🎉

Mrs. Cawthon is a long-standing and valued member of our faculty and staff. In fact, she was our school’s very first employee in 2012!

Throughout her time with us, she has served as Office Manager, Academic Counselor, and now Dean, along with taking on numerous additional roles, including CTE Coordinator, Campus Testing Coordinator, and more.

Mrs. Cawthon holds a B.S. from Texas A&M University and an M.Ed. from Concordia University.

We are so excited to see her step into this new role and look forward to all she will continue to bring to our school community.

Congratulations, Mrs. Cawthon! We are so thankful for everything you do! 💙🖤💛🦅
