Uber Inks Deal With Robotaxi Maker Pony AI, to Launch in Middle East This Year Uber Technologies and Chinese autonomous vehicle maker Pony AI announced a partnership Tuesday to put Pony AI's robotaxis on Uber's platform.

BuzzFeed is developing a new social media platform called BF Island, aiming to provide a joyful alternative to traditional, algorithm-driven feeds. Unlike platforms that prioritize content designed to elicit strong emotional reactions—what CEO Jonah Peretti refers to as "SNARF" (Stakes, Novelty, Anger, Retention, Fear)—BF Island focuses on fostering creativity and genuine connections.

The platform will leverage AI to empower users in creating and sharing content aligned with their interests, promoting a more positive and engaging online experience. Currently in private beta, BF Island represents BuzzFeed's strategic shift towards becoming a tech and social media company.
