Our resident pig technically has many faces, but I swear I only ever see TWO. 😂

Face #1: 👑 Queen of the Barn
“I go where I want, when I want. This is my barn and you all just work here. But please understand—I am a LADY. I do NOT go to the bathroom in my stall. I wait patiently to be let out every morning, take care of business outside, and continue on with my royal duties.”

Face #2: 😠 Tinker Belle Is Eating Too Slowly
“Why is she STILL eating?! I have finished my food and therefore her food is now MY food. Stop blocking me. Move. I am starving. This is completely unacceptable.”

And that’s pretty much Daisy Mae. 😂🐷👑

I challenge you to come visit Mini Friends Farm and see if you can get a third face out of her… because apparently she saves those for other people. 😂💕

I swear, with my menagerie, every day is a new experience. 😂

Today we had the sweetest private visit, and I could tell from the moment Princess Peach woke up that she was feeling a little extra.

She kept wanting to get close to the family. I kept swatting her back, trying to let them enjoy some time with Dolly and the donks.

But Peach was determined.

She kept getting closer, so I turned around and used my butt and hip to push her head away.

Well…that girl decided that was her opportunity.

She put her head between my legs and PICKED ME UP. 🤦‍♀️😂

It was a very quick, “I CAN do this, so don’t F with me” demonstration.

For approximately half a second, I genuinely believed I was a bull rider and we were going for the full 8 seconds. 🐂😂

Thankfully, she put me down nicely—which I know is NOT always how that story ends.

So Princess Peach has officially sealed the deal: she will be stalled when friends come to visit.

I really do think she just wanted attention. And I give her plenty of attention…on HER terms.

But Lord help me, if I had that moment on video and we were at the rodeo, I think I would have gotten some pretty good points.

Especially for the dismount. 😂

A teacher is teaching kids a trade Monday–Friday, 9–3… and you will be shocked at the stipend he receives….keep reading…

And these kids aren’t just learning to weld. They’re creating ART, building things for our community, and learning a skill they can actually turn into a career.

Okay friends, I’m REALLY blown away by this program at Pepin.

Bryant teaches these students a lifelong skill — and many of them are taking what they’re learning and turning it into a JOB.

They’re raising money right now for welding equipment that they can take to work in the field (right now it’s too bulky what they have).

And y’all… Bryant gets a $500 A MONTH stipend from Pepin. Yep. You read that right. 😳

He teaches these kids Monday–Friday, 9–3. He even picks them up from school and takes them to Ybor to work on their art.

He doesn’t want accolades or recognition. That’s not why he does it.

But he is helping these kids. He’s giving them a skill, confidence, something to be proud of — and potentially a way to make a living.

And they haven’t even made a dent in what they need to raise.

So COME ON, FRIENDS. ❤️

Love this study from UC Davis. Someday I’ll go to their Donkey symposium.

I could have guessed these results but I’m glad they are doing studies on this.

Makes my heart happy.

I can tell you the past few weeks I’ve had onwards of 8+ students volunteering on Saturday mornings and although a lot of it is cleaning the barn and pasture (or what an animal has broken that week). When I get to see the animals interacting with the students/volunteers- it’s always the neck scratches that keep the donkeys next to them.
