🐾💗 MEET BAILEY — OUR LITTLE BALLERINA LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME 💗🐾

Bailey?

She SPINS 😂🩰🐾

This little 14-pound girl will twirl and dance around like a tiny ballerina the second she realizes snacks are involved, and it is honestly one of the cutest things you’ll ever see 💗😂

Bailey is about 3 years old, a Dachshund/Terrier mix, spayed, fully vetted, healthy, and somehow still waiting for the family who will finally choose her.

And she has been waiting for more than TWO YEARS 💔

Bailey was found alone in a field in Victoria, Texas. She was sick, vomiting mud and grass, and we had no idea where she had come from or what she had already been through before someone found her. We may never know that part of her story.

Maybe that is why Bailey takes a little more time to decide who and what feels safe 💗

She isn’t the kind of doggie who immediately throws herself into a stranger’s lap five minutes after meeting them.

She’s a sensitive little soul.

She watches.
She learns.
She figures you out.

And once she realizes you’re safe?

That’s when the real Bailey starts coming out 🥹💕

She becomes loving, loyal, silly, affectionate, and deeply attached to the people she trusts.

She just needs A family willing to give her the time to get there.

Bailey is cat friendly 🐱, and she can do well with another dog when the personality and energy level are a good match. Because she can be nervous with lots of commotion, we believe she would be happiest in a calmer home without young children.

Changes in environment can make her nervous, so she would do best with someone who understands that she thrives on consistency and familiarity. Could she possibly become more comfortable with new places over time? Maybe. But we can’t promise she will ever be the kind of girl who wants to constantly go new places—and honestly, that’s okay 💗

I’ve been waiting over a YEAR for my forever family, so I figured maybe I should introduce myself properly…

I’m a little over 2 years old, a beautiful Labrador Retriever mix, fully vetted, dog friendly, affectionate, goofy, dramatic, and extremely talented at taking up an unreasonable amount of couch space 😂

I’m not broken 🤍

I was hit by a vehicle when I was younger and needed surgery on my leg. I healed, and now I run, wrestle with my doggie friends, zoom around the yard and live life like the giant fluffy goofball I was meant to be.

My limp is just part of my story!

I can also be protective of my food and favorite toys around other doggies! Let’s just say I have a small issue with sharing because I hold onto what’s mine and cherish it.

What I really want is pretty simple.

I want to live inside with my family.

I want someone to cuddle with.

Someone who laughs at my nonsense.

Someone who sees my little limp and thinks:

“So what?”

I’ve watched so many of my friends leave with their new families.

They don’t come back.

My foster siblings tell me that means they found their forever homes.

And every time another one leaves, I wonder…

Are they coming back? Or When will it finally be my turn? 🥺

My family can’t find me if they never see me.

ONE YEAR 💔

One entire year of waiting for someone to say…

“That’s her. That’s our girl.” 🐾

Hi, I’m Ellie Mae — although around here, everyone calls me “Snidely” because of my perfectly imperfect little smile ❤️

I came into rescue in September 2025 after being found with another puppy. That cute, fluffy puppy quickly found a place to go with an adoption center.

I didn’t…

Paws4Christ Animal Rescue stepped in when there wasn’t room, extra funding, or really any easy answer…because leaving me behind wasn’t an option 💗

I was sick, and several Veterinarians determined that I had suffered blunt-force trauma to my face sometime before I was rescued. Surgery to rebuild my jaw with rods was considered, but ultimately I was allowed to heal naturally.

So I healed 🦋

Maybe not with a perfectly straight smile…but with a pretty amazing heart ❤️‍🩹

And now here we are…

A YEAR later 🥺

I’ve watched so many dogs come through those doors, unpack their things, become my friends…and eventually pack everything back up because their family found them.

I’m always happy for them.

But I’m still here…

Still waiting…

And the funny thing is, I’m actually a REALLY good girl 😂

I’m a little over 1 year old, around 40ish pounds, a Lab mix, potty trained and wonderful with other dogs.

My personality is naturally submissive, docile and gentle. I’m not looking to be the boss of anybody—I’d much rather make a friend, play for a while and then find the nearest human for belly rubs 💜

I especially love my best friend Stella “Freedom,” and having another friendly doggie around would be just fine with me.

I enjoy squeaky toys, running ridiculous zoomies around the yard, cuddling on the couch and investigating absolutely anything that sounds remotely like a treat bag 😂

And with these ears?

Trust me…I KNOW when snacks are happening👂🐾

I’m goofy…
I’m affectionate…
I’m playful…
I’m gentle…
And despite what happened to me before rescue, I still trust people with my whole heart ♥️

That may be the most beautiful thing about Ellie Mae.

She doesn’t know she looks different.

She doesn’t know some people scroll past her because another dog might be fluffier, smaller or have a more “perfect” face.

She just knows how to love 💝

What she DOES know is that for an entire year, every rescue that walked through the door eventually belonged to somebody else.

We would really love for 2026 to finally be the year somebody belongs to HER 🥹

🏡 Ellie Mae needs an indoor family home, where she will be loved as a family member—not an outside pet or guard dog.

A securely fenced yard is required for safe potty breaks, playtime and, obviously, those very important Snidely zoomies 😂 She does go outside onto our additional property that is fenced in, but she isn’t as comfortable and always wants right back inside the main fenced yards around our home.

You all remember the momma & nine puppies we rescued on August 12 from under a building in Nursery, Texas! We normally just let things go, and let people talk because they love drama! As much as this may upset some people 🤷🏻‍♀️, we have a moral obligation to be transparent with everyone in and around our community, especially when our rescue has been nothing but kind, supportive, and honest throughout this entire situation.

And honestly we have had enough of nonsense 😣

We have tried very hard to handle this respectfully, privately, and with compassion for everyone involved. But kindness does not mean we are going to stay silent while facts are twisted, conversations are misrepresented, or statements are made publicly that do not match the factual documentation we have.

I wasn’t going to continue going back and forth publicly, but because my name, our rescue, and the circumstances involving these puppies are now being discussed at length, I do need to correct several things.

Brooke Eubanks, no one is denying that you helped this family or that caring for a momma and nine puppies was exhausting. We thanked you repeatedly for stepping up when nobody else did. I personally gave you 24/7 access to me 👉 for support, guidance, and any supplies you needed or requested. You yourself said you had been watching this momma for nine months and that you had worked with several rescues for years. I am not sure why you did not reach out to those connections sooner to help get this family support since you been so involved in rescue and apparently fostered for multiple rescues!

Prior to committing to foster momma and her puppies, you never at all expressed to us the severity of your health conditions.

Then, just days before you said momma and the puppies needed to leave, you told us your health was suffering and that you could no longer continue caring for them.

We took that seriously!

We immediately began trying to make arrangements, stayed in constant communication with you, and I even told you I was rearranging things at my own home so I could temporarily take them if necessary while their rescue, Dog House Art House, worked on making space.

What I will not accept is the rewriting of events to make it appear that Duncan and Winter somehow became your personal property simply because you did not personally sign paperwork with Dog House Art House.

These puppies entered this situation through rescue involvement and were placed with you as fosters. They were never surrendered, sold, gifted, or formally transferred to you as your personal animals.

You repeatedly referred to yourself as their foster, and placement decisions were still being handled through rescue.

When you asked Patricia whether the two puppies could stay with you longer while you and your husband decided whether you wanted to adopt them, allowing them to remain temporarily was NOT the same thing as transferring ownership.

You even stated in your own post — go back and read it — that Patricia told you to let her know whether you were keeping them so they could either move forward appropriately or be placed for adoption.

That statement itself shows there was still a process that had to be completed.

“You can keep them for now while you decide” does not mean, “These puppies now belong to you and you may do whatever you want with them.”

The remaining two puppies have since been requested to be released multiple times, and those requests have been ignored.

There is another important part of this situation that needs to be clarified.

You became very upset over a comment made on one of our posts referring to the “theft” of puppies.

That comment was made by Brenda Mueller — NOT by anyone representing Paws4Christ Animal Rescue.

Yet your anger was directed toward our organization as though we had made that accusation.

If you go back through the actual post, comments, and messages between everyone involved, it is very clear that our position was simply that you did not respond to requests for them to be released!

So before continuing to accuse our rescue of saying things we did not say, please go back through everything carefully.

You were admittedly exhausted and overwhelmed, and what you are claiming simply does not match the documented conversations.

There is a difference between remembering something differently and repeatedly twisting the truth into something the messages, videos, and timeline do not support.

When there are screenshots, videos, dates, receipts, and full conversations available, people are able to see for themselves what was actually said and done.

Regarding the allegations about conditions at Patricia’s new property where you dropped off momma and the other six puppies, we have told you repeatedly: 📢

If you genuinely believe you witnessed unsanitary or unsafe conditions, REPORT WHAT YOU WITNESSED TO THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES and allow them to investigate.

Posting accusations on Facebook may bring attention to concerns, but it is not the same thing as making a formal report 😤

And I do have some serious questions.

If you truly believed the conditions were as horrific as you are describing them?

👉 Why did you leave momma and six puppies there, and drive away with two? 🤯

👉 Why didn’t you immediately contact authorities?

👉 Why didn’t you call us and tell us you believed the animals were in an unsafe environment?

Those are fair questions 🤷🏻‍♀️

We have never discredited your claims! We have also never personally been to Patricia’s new property, which is exactly why we have repeatedly said that if you witnessed something concerning, it should be reported so the proper authorities can investigate it.

We are also planning to make a trip to Dog House Art House’s property ourselves so we can personally see the setup and conditions rather than forming conclusions based only on claims you are making.

We believe in addressing concerns responsibly, directly, and based on what can actually be documented.

Regarding the medical care of momma and the puppies, there were ongoing conversations about their age, nursing, weaning, discharge, vaccinations, veterinary care, feeding, and their changing needs.

Those messages still exist 🧐

They also show the amount of support, kindness, supplies, communication, and financial assistance that was provided throughout this entire situation from our organization.

We personally purchased formula, canned puppy food, and other supplies and necessities for momma and her nine puppies.

👂You can hear me offering again to vaccinate and microchip momma and the puppies.

You declined and said you would rather wait until their spay/neuter appointments.

You also discussed taking the puppies to Acres of Animals for spay/neuter because you said Dr. Cochran had helped you with multiple of your personal dogs altering.

My concern was that these were still very young and very small puppies, and that 3-4 months old was possibly the soonest, and that the timing of surgery needed to be determined appropriately by the veterinarian based on each puppy’s age, weight, development, and health — not rushed simply because you understandably wanted placement for them as quickly as possible.

That is especially important now because comments are being made on your post indicating the two puppies that you kept may already have been altered.

If that is correct, then please provide the veterinary records documenting when and where those procedures were performed and who authorized them 🤨

Now regarding momma:

You have made statements implying we ignored concerns about her postpartum discharge!

That is not what the messages show 🤥

When you told me about the discharge, I asked questions about any other symptoms because those details help determine whether something may require urgent veterinary attention.

Your responses did not describe the emergency you are now portraying publicly.

Based on what you reported to me at that time, there were not additional symptoms indicating an obvious emergency.

I also asked for photos and videos when concerns arose because I wanted to make sure things such as mastitis of her ninnies or infection were not developing.

You have also claimed that I “forced” you to make momma nurse the puppies.

That is absolutely not what our conversation shows.

Go back and read it, I’ll share that in comments too 😡🤯

We brought numerous cans of formula and cases of canned puppy food specifically because these puppies were transitioning and needed appropriate nutrition.

After receiving a desperate call around midnight about one of the puppies who could not stand on his back legs and was falling over, my daughter drove to your home and picked up Little Bear.

He was experiencing serious neurological symptoms, non-stop seizures, crying as if he were in severe pain, and we were also concerned about his gastrointestinal symptoms.

NEVER HAVE I EVER WITNESSED A PUPPY SO SUDDENLY DECLINE 💔

His head appeared abnormally swollen. He was struggling to bear weight on his back legs, and he was having difficulty passing stool. The small amount he did pass contained blood.

Because of how young and small this litter was, I repeatedly stressed the importance of feeding them food they could safely chew and digest, along with the formula and canned puppy food we had provided.

In the video you sent me of Little Bear struggling to walk, there was large, hard kibble on the lid you kept offering to him. Both veterinary clinics I took him too got his weight at around 2 pounds! He was too small for what your were having him eat.

👉 I will share that video in the comments as well!

After we picked him up, he was also vomiting food that appeared to contain larger pieces of that kibble, not chewed or digested at all 🤯

We do not share advice to be controlling or bossy.

We do it because the safety of the animals matters.

And, at no point did I tell you to physically “force” momma to nurse 😡

I discussed the benefits of nursing while appropriate, their age, weaning, and helping support the puppies nutritionally.

Those are very different things.

You have also claimed that I told you to “put momma on my tab.”

Where did that statement come from?

👉 Again — TURN THE VOLUME UP on the video in comments 🤦🏻‍♀️

You can clearly hear me offering for you to take momma to our veterinary clinic, use our rescue account, and that WE would take care of the veterinary expense.

That is very different from what is now being stated publicly on your post 🤯🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

We have the complete message history, photos, videos, dates, receipts, and documentation from this situation, including the circumstances under which this family originally entered foster care and the repeated requests for the remaining puppies to be released.

So please understand this clearly:

🤨 We can be kind and still defend ourselves…

🤷🏻‍♀️ We can be compassionate and still correct false statements…

And we can appreciate the good someone did while still holding them accountable when the truth is later twisted or important facts are left out 🥱

Do not mistake our kindness for weakness or our silence for an admission that what is being said is true.

I also want to make something else very clear:

No one expected you to sacrifice your health for these innocent lives.

When you said you could no longer continue, we worked to make arrangements — even while our own rescue was already overwhelmed, extremely busy, and struggling ourselves.

We appreciated what you did for momma and those puppies, and I still acknowledge that you helped them when help was desperately needed.

But fostering animals does not automatically give someone ownership of them.

If you wanted to adopt Duncan and Winter, that could have been handled through the proper adoption process just like any other placement.

Instead, after repeated requests for their release, you are now publicly saying that you intend to keep them regardless.

At this point, I am not going to continue arguing this matter through Facebook comments.

The documentation can speak for itself 🙄

And again, if you genuinely believe animals at ANY rescue — including ours — are in danger:

Provide the proper authorities with the photos, videos, dates, witnesses, and evidence and allow them to investigate.

👉 That is what responsible animal advocacy looks like 🤷🏻‍♀️

Made up stories being rewritten on social media because someone became upset over a comment our organization did not even make is absurd!

The truth does not need to be twisted when the documentation is there for everyone to see 👍🏼

We were tagged in this post by a sweet friend, and thought what a perfect time to share this. It hit hard, flooded my eyes with tears because it’s the harsh reality that many don’t stop and look at ❤️🐾

Our community in and around Victoria County has such an incredible impact on what we do. Your love, support, compassion, prayers, donations, shares, fosters, and encouragement help us continue caring for these babies every day.

But lately, we’ve also received some unbelievably ugly messages—being cussed out because we can’t take someone’s dog and even threatened with, “you don’t know who you’re messing with.” 🤯 or “How can you just leave the dog there”

Look closely at this image.

Look at the animals surrounding me—each one waiting, hoping and silently asking to be chosen.

Look at the computer filled with messages.

Look at the people pointing fingers, shouting opinions and judging every decision from behind their screens.

Then look at the one person sitting in the middle of it all, holding onto one dog while crying over all the others she cannot reach.

This is rescue.

Rescue is not only the happy adoption pictures, wagging tails and beautiful transformations you see online.

Rescue is lying awake at night thinking about the animals you had to leave behind because there is simply no space.

It is opening another desperate message when you already know you have nowhere for the animal to go.

It is looking into innocent eyes and knowing that love alone cannot create more space, pay another veterinary bill or magically produce another foster home.

It is choosing which emergency you can help while knowing another animal may suffer because you simply cannot do both.

And that hurts in a way I cannot fully explain.

Every animal matters to us. Every plea stays in our minds. Every face follows us home.

When we say we cannot take another animal, it is not because we do not care.

It is because we care so deeply that we are already carrying more than our hearts, bodies, homes, indoor kennel and finances can hold.

But instead of people stepping forward, too many step back and place the entire responsibility on someone else.

There are always comments on posts, and messages sent:

Someone else should foster.

Someone else should adopt.

Someone else should donate.

Someone else should transport.

Someone else should open another kennel.

Someone else should save the animal.

Then, when that “someone else” cannot perform a miracle, people point fingers at the rescue.

They criticize.

They accuse.

They tear apart the people who are already crying because they could not do more.

Some people spend more time typing angry comments than it would take to share a post, donate a bag of food or offer an animal a temporary place to sleep.

Even rescues sometimes tear one another down when we should be standing together.

Imagine if we helped with transportation, foster placement, food, medical care and networking instead of criticizing one another’s decisions.

It belongs to the entire community.

If everyone carried just one small piece of the responsibility, one person would not have to be crushed beneath all of it.

One person can foster.

One can transport.

One can donate $5.

One can share a post.

One can volunteer.

One can adopt.

One can offer encouragement instead of cruelty.

One rescue can reach out to another and say, “We cannot take this animal, but how else can we help?”

That is how lives are saved.

Not through judgment.

Not through excuses.

Not through competition or cruelty.

Through kindness, compassion and people choosing to work together.

Before you point at the person sitting in the middle of this image, look at everything surrounding her.

Look at the tears.

Look at the animals she cannot reach.

Look at the pressure coming from every direction.

Then ask yourself:

Am I adding to the weight—or am I helping carry it?

Because rescue is already heartbreaking enough.

The people fighting to save these animals should not also have to survive being torn apart in the very community they are trying to help.

Please—be kinder.

Step forward.

Stop waiting for someone else to do it.

Work together.

Support one another.

Because while people are arguing over who should help, innocent animals are still waiting for someone to actually do it 💔🐾

Please remember, when a rescue says we can’t take another animal, it doesn’t mean we don’t care. Sometimes we simply do not have the space, funds, fosters, or manpower.
