RLLC is a private speech therapy practice treating children with

👅 speech
🗣️ language &
📚reading disorders

(RLLC) was founded in 2002 as a center for the treatment of dyslexia and language deficits in children and adults. In addition to treatment, it has engaged in clinical program development in the areas of phonemic awareness and higher level reading programs for middle and high school students. The center provides a wide range of services for children and adults with speech, language and reading disorders. The RLLC owners have more than 30 years combined experience working in the field as Speech-Language Pathologists. We ensure a high quality of treatment and customer satisfaction.

If dyslexia is a new word in your house, your child may be wondering what it means for them. ❤️ They may be asking: What does it mean? Why has reading felt harder for me? Does this change anything about who I am?

Sometimes it helps to hear the answers from someone other than Mom or Dad. So if your child needs to hear this today, show them this video. ❤️

We’re going RED for Dyslexia Awareness Month! ❤️

Dyslexia is a big part of what we do at RLLC, so you know we have a lot planned for October.

All month long, we’ll be talking about dyslexia from every angle: what it is, what it can look like, how it affects reading and spelling, how speech and language fit into the picture, and most importantly, the kids and individuals behind it all.

We’re excited to spend the month learning, celebrating, and raising awareness alongside our families, fellow professionals, and community. ❤️

Follow along. We have a lot to share!

The paper was safe. Jimmy just needed to remember where “safe” was. 😂

And somehow, a missing school paper turned into a whole new organizational system: Jimmy’s Solar System. 🪐🎒

Sometimes kids need a little help getting organized, but that doesn’t mean we have to do all the organizing for them. Giving them a simple structure and letting them help build the system can make it much more meaningful and usable.

And with that, we’re officially caught up with Jimmy! 💙

SLPs and educators, our next Sounds2Print™ Essentials training is coming this October!

Join us for two collaborative, hands-on days exploring how speech sounds connect to print and how that understanding can support practical, individualized literacy instruction.

Sounds2Print™ Essentials can stand alone as a professional training or serve as the beginning of our Structured Literacy Certification Training pathway.

Good news: Jimmy remembers putting the paper somewhere safe. 😂

Bad news: He has absolutely no idea where that safe place is.

But at least we’re finding plenty of other things along the way... 🎒

Come back tomorrow for Part 3 and the final chapter of our Jimmy catch-up. Will the missing paper ever be found? 👀

We’ve got some catching up to do with Jimmy! 💙

School is off to a pretty great start. He’s learning about space, building structurally sound forts (eventually 😂), and apparently bringing important papers home from school...

Or is he? 👀🎒

Come back tomorrow for Part 2!

A month into the school year, how many pencils and working glue sticks are actually left? ✏️

This week’s While You’re At It gives your child a useful role in preparing for your next shopping trip while building organization and planning skills along the way.

Watch for the full idea, and follow us for a new double-duty idea every Thursday!

You open your child’s fall screening report and see words like “below benchmark” or “at risk.” What does that actually mean, and what are you supposed to do next?

That’s exactly what we’re breaking down in this special episode of More Than Words with Dr. Helen Behr and Meg Shah.

📊 Understand what DIBELS and i-Ready are measuring
🚦 Learn what those red and yellow scores actually mean
📚 Find out what additional support at school may look like
📈 Understand how schools monitor whether that support is working
💬 Get practical questions to bring to your child’s teacher

The goal isn’t to become an assessment expert. It’s to understand the information in front of you well enough to ask questions and be part of the conversation about what comes next.
