Billy the Kidden Rescue

🍁 There’s a chill in the air at night! 🍁

That means it’s time to check those feral cat shelters and freshen up the bedding so our community cats can stay warm and cozy all season long. 🐈

🌾 Straw = YES!✅
Straw is dry, lightweight, and great for shelter bedding. It helps reflect body heat and repels moisture.

🌿 Hay = NO!❌
Hay is meant for feeding animals, not bedding. It absorbs moisture, which can leave shelters damp, cold, and uncomfortable—and it can become moldy.

💡 Where can you find straw? Try hardware/home improvement stores, garden centers, nurseries, landscape suppliers, or pet stores.

A little preparation can make a BIG difference for a community cat when temperatures drop. ❤️

🐾 Thank you for caring for the cats in your community! 🐾

🎵🎶Meet Eleanor Rigby!🎶🎵

Some cats just need someone willing to believe in them.🫶

🎶Eleanor is a ~ 1½-year-old girl whose story began in a dumpster behind a Royal Farms gas station. Shortly after being rescued, her foster family discovered she was expecting kittens. She lovingly raised five beautiful babies and proved to be an incredible, devoted mama.

Now it's Eleanor's turn to be cared for. 💯

🎶Every day she grows a little braver. Once terrified of people, she now happily walks up to her foster family asking for gentle head scratches and pets. One of her biggest milestones came recently when she played with a toy for the very first time! Watching her happily bat around a little pom-pom ball was a reminder that it's never too late to discover joy.

🎶Eleanor is affectionate, gentle, curious, quiet, and incredibly resilient. She enjoys the company of other cats and even shares her home with a gentle senior Chihuahua. She must have another friendly animal companion in her forever home.

🎶Her ideal family will be patient and understand that she'll need a little time to settle in. Once she feels safe, you'll have the privilege of watching her confidence—and her sweet personality—continue to bloom. Because she still startles easily with sudden movements, she'd do best in a quieter home without small children.

🐾😻 Whisker Wednesday, brought to you by DOT! 😻🐾

🖤Dot lives by one simple rule: if it’s on the floor, it belongs to her. Socks? Must be inspected. Random crumb under the couch? TREASURE. 😂 To this little explorer, the whole world is one giant playground—and she intends to investigate every inch of it!

🤍Right now, this 6 month old girl is all about PLAY PLAY PLAY! 🧶🪀 She has enough kitten energy to entertain herself—and probably everyone watching, too! Once she finally wears herself out, she’ll happily curl up beside you for a well-earned cuddle…before dreaming up her next adventure. 🥰

🖤And her rescue story? EPIC. Dot was rescued from the steering column of a car! 🚗😳 So apparently she’s been keeping humans on their toes since day one.

🤍She’s officially retired from her career as a tiny undercover mechanic and has moved on to professional toy chaser, floor inspector, and household supervisor. 😂

🖤If you're looking for a kitten who will make you laugh, keep life interesting, and occasionally remember to nap…Dot is ready to take over your heart—and probably everything you accidentally leave on the floor! 🖤🐾😹

Want to meet her? She just made her debut at Sand & Sea Cat Lounge! Plan your visit today: 👉 www.sandandseacatlounge.com

Looking for a handsome, affectionate gentleman who will happily tell you all about his day? 👀

🧡🐾 Meet Griffin—the Golden Boy with LOTS to Say! 🐾🧡

🧡This gorgeous 1–2 year old boy has stunning golden eyes, a sweet personality, and one VERY important thing to tell you: He’sa TALKER! 🗣️😹

🧡For months, Griffin visited a volunteer’s home for meals while living outdoors alongside a mama cat and her five kittens. With patience and kindness, his trust was earned, and he was finally safely brought into rescue.

🧡He arrived with some wounds and scarring from his time outdoors, but thankfully, those have healed beautifully. And Griffin has made it very clear that the outdoor life is NOT for him anymore! ❤️

🧡Now that he's safe indoors, Griffin is showing us what a sweet, easygoing boy he really is. He's affectionate, gentle, curious, goofy, food-motivated, and loves being near his people. He'll happily curl up in a cozy bed—or follow you around while providing a running commentary. 😂

🐾 Gets along with other cats
🐾 Good with children
🐾 Dogs unknown; slow introductions recommended

🧡After spending so much time surviving outdoors, Griffin is ready to simply live—with a family who will give him the safety, comfort, and love he's always deserved. 🏡❤️

And don't worry about the conversation getting boring...Griffin has PLENTY to say! 🧡😹

Want to meet him? Visit our website to fill out an Adoption Application, and be sure to include his name! https://www.billythekiddenrescue.org/adopt 🙏🏻

🐾💞 Tuesday Twosome: Nixie & Dixie! 💞🐾

What’s better than ONE tabby? 🐈

TWO TABBIES, of course! 🐈🐈

Meet Nixie & Dixie—two beautiful sisters who are proof that twice the cat means twice the love! 🧡💛

These sweet girls were surrendered through no fault of their own and are now looking for a forever home where they can stay TOGETHER! 💯

Both Nixie and Dixie are gentle, affectionate girls who love spending time with their people. Chin scratches + treats = instant happiness! 😻

🤎Dixie🤎 is calm, easygoing, and sweet with a playful side. She loves gentle belly rubs, catnip toys, feather wands, and cozy blanket naps. Basically, she's equally happy having a little fun or doing absolutely nothing. 😂

💛Nixie💛 is a professional chin-scratch enthusiast and devoted treat seeker. 😹 She enjoys spring toys and feather wands, but she's also perfectly content curling up in her cozy bed for a peaceful nap.

💞The sisters get along well with other cats and have sweet, laid-back personalities. Their experience with dogs and children is unknown.

💞They have already experienced the heartbreak of losing their home. Now they're hoping for something much happier—a loving forever family to call their own.🥹❤️

Because why settle for one tabby when you could have TWO? 🐈🐈

Two tabbies. Two times the fun. And a whole lot of love! 🫶

Could Nixie & Dixie be your perfect Tuesday Twosome—and your forever girls? 🏡

📣📣Calling all Cow Cat lovers!📣📣

Hi, I’m Crew, and I can’t wait to join YOUR crew! 😻

🐮I’m a handsome 2 year old boy with a big purrsonality, and SO much love to give! 🤗

🐮I was found outside, and boy am I happy to have discovered the comforts of indoor life! A warm bed, a full belly, loving people, and plenty of attention suit me perfectly. ❤️

🐮If you like a cat who talks to you, I’m your guy! I love to chat and will happily keep you updated on everything happening in my world. And don’t worry—I’m also a good listener! 😉

🐮Whether you’re telling me about your day or just talking to yourself, I’ll be right there offering my thoughts and commentary. I think every good conversation is better with a cat involved, don’t you agree?

🐮From the moment I was rescued, I made it pretty clear that I like people—and I love being loved! I’m affectionate and easygoing and I thrive on companionship. Give me pets and attention and I’ll happily return the favor with plenty of love.🫶

🐮I’m looking for someone who wants a real companion—someone who will enjoy having a sweet boy hanging out nearby, chatting away and keeping them company.😻

🐮One of the sweetest things about my journey is that I’m discovering that life can be FUN! Wait until you see me in action with my favorite toy: 🍌THE CATNIP BANANA! 🍌

🐮I’m also a pretty good eater. And treats? YES, PLEASE! 😻 My favorites are Temptations and Churu. Just saying those words may get my attention!

🐮I’m comfortable around other cats and could be happy with a feline friend—or I could be perfectly content being your one-and-only prince. 👑 My history with children and dogs is unknown, so slow, thoughtful introductions would be best.

🐮Most of all, I need a home where my people will appreciate my affectionate nature, my goofy playful side, and my excellent conversational skills.😹 I have so much love to give—and so many things to tell you!

Visit our website to fill out an Adoption Application, and be sure to include my name! https://www.billythekiddenrescue.org/adopt 🙏🏻
