Professor Serhiy Kudelia wins 2026 Davis Center Book Prize in Political and Social Studies for his book Seize the City, Undo the State: The Inception of Russia’s War on Ukraine (Oxford University Press, 2025).

The award recognizes the “outstanding monograph” on Eastern Europe, Russia, and Eurasia published in the social science field.

It is given annually by the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies in conjunction with Harvard University’s Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies.
