💙 COUGAR BAND ALUMNI NIGHT – HOMECOMING 2026! 💙

This Friday, September 25th, we proudly welcome our alumni back home to China Spring for our annual Homecoming Game! This special night is one of our favorite traditions, and nothing brings us more joy than seeing past Cougar Band members return to the stands, filling the stadium with music, energy, and memories!

As tradition holds, Cougar Band Alumni are invited to bring their instruments and play alongside the current Cougar Band during the game. It’s an amazing opportunity to relive those unforgettable Friday night lights, reconnect with old friends, and show our students what it means to be a lifelong Cougar Band Member.

To make sure everything runs smoothly and follows district safety guidelines, here’s what you need to do:

Step 1: RSVP
Email Mr. Mothersole ([email protected]) to confirm that you’ll be attending. This helps us plan and know that you will be with us!

Step 2: Complete Volunteer Paperwork
Visit the district website to fill out the official Volunteer Form. Once completed, email it to Mr. Mothersole with a copy of your Driver’s License or State ID. This is a district safety policy required for all adults participating alongside students.

Step 3: Bring Your Own Gear
Alumni must provide their own instrument, equipment, and music. Due to limited supply, the Cougar Band cannot provide these items.

Step 4: Follow Expectations
All alumni joining us must follow the same rules and expectations in place for current band members. In addition, we ask that you respect all stadium guidelines and the staff working the event.

Steps 1 & 2 must be completed by 2pm on Friday, September 25th. If these are not completed, you will not be permitted to be with the Band in the stands. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep our students safe.

Trombone Knockouts!
If you are a Trombone Knockout Alumni, you’re invited to join in the Knockouts at this year’s homecoming game! You must have participated in Knockouts in the past and still complete all necessary paperwork stated above. In addition, you are required to attend Knockout Practice at 3:30 PM on Friday in the HS Band Hall in order to participate that evening.

Thank you for being part of the Cougar Band legacy. We can’t wait to see your familiar faces, hear your instruments soar once more, and create another unforgettable night at Cougar Stadium!

Please help us share this with our Alumni so they all are able to participate in this opportunity! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

Wanna be ready to show your China Spring Cougar Band pride for our first competition?
We got you fam! The merch trailer, located by the home side bleachers, will be open tomorrow, Tuesday the 22nd, during rehearsal from 6:30 - 8:00. This is THE perfect time for anyone who would like to purchase a show shirt.
