Baylor Art student Aleah Burns’s work, “Unstable Connection” was selected for exhibition in the annual online juried exhibition “Artovation” a student show hosted by the Texas Association of Schools of Art. Aleah is interested in the increasingly complex relationship between humanity and technology, depicting the human figure both encompassed within and obscured by both literal and symbolic screens and other imagery inspired by the digital world. The Juror was Catey Arnold, the Curator of Exhibitions at the Rockport Center for the Arts in Rockport, Texas. Congratulations Aleah!!! Applications are still open for Baylor’s new Master of Arts in Social, Nonprofit & Public Leadership, an interprofessional program designed to prepare character-driven leaders to address complex social challenges through scholarship, service, and faith-informed leadership. ⁠Rooted in collaboration between the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work and the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty, the program equips students to lead transformative initiatives in areas such as poverty, food security, and community development.
