Comprehensive Learning Center For Individuals with Autism
Maximizing the potential of individuals with autism from preschool through adulthood.

For years, Athletes Helping Athletes, Inc. has helped Comprehensive Learning Center create opportunities for children and adults with autism to stay active, build healthy habits, and gain greater independence.
Athletes Helping Athletes has invested in many aspects of CLC—from our playground to recreation equipment and a treadmill, to our move into our current building, which allowed us to expand and serve more learners. Their generosity has had a lasting impact on our learners and community.
Most recently, AHA donated $5,000 to replace essential fitness equipment! At CLC, fitness is about so much more than exercise. Through individualized instruction, learners build strength, coordination, confidence, healthy routines, and the skills needed to safely participate in recreation and community fitness settings. These experiences promote independence, improve overall well-being, and help learners participate more fully in their families and communities.
As we celebrate 25 years of CLC, we're proud to recognize Athletes Helping Athletes as one of the community partners who has helped make that impact possible. Thank you for investing in healthier, more independent futures for the individuals we serve!

Sara is a Penn State graduate, where she majored in Rehabilitation and Human Services. Her passion for helping others led her to pursue a career focused on supporting individuals in reaching their fullest potential.
Outside of CLC, Sara is a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan (Go Birds!) and even collects Eagles jerseys. She also loves to travel and has made it her goal to visit all 50 states—she's already explored 30. When she's not planning her next adventure, you'll likely find her enjoying live music. At home, she shares life with her pit bull, Miller.
Sara has been an instructor in CLC's Education Program for the past six months. Her favorite part of the job is watching learners gain confidence and independence as they develop new skills. She says the most rewarding days are when a learner independently accomplishes something they've been working toward, making all of the time, patience, and teamwork worthwhile.
One of Sara's favorite memories at CLC is the school dance. She loved seeing learners having fun together and enjoying a well-deserved opportunity to celebrate after all of their hard work throughout the year.
Sara's enthusiasm, encouragement, and commitment to helping learners grow make her a wonderful member of the CLC team!

Strong community partnerships make a lasting difference, and for more than 15 years, Foundations Community Partnership (FCP) has been one of Comprehensive Learning Center's valued supporters.
Since 2009, FCP has awarded CLC 11 grants, helping us expand opportunities for individuals with autism and their families. Most recently, that partnership continued with a $7,500 grant to support our Individualized Instructional Materials Program, ensuring our educators have the customized teaching tools they need to help every learner succeed.
At first glance, these materials may seem simple—a visual schedule, communication supports, or a step-by-step task guide. But for a child with autism, they can become the bridge to first words, greater independence, and skills that once felt out of reach.
Thoughtfully designed for each learner's unique strengths and goals, these individualized tools reduce anxiety, increase engagement, and make meaningful progress possible every day.
We're deeply grateful for Foundations Community Partnership's continued investment in CLC and in children, young adults, and families throughout Bucks County. Through grants to nonprofit organizations, scholarships, service-learning opportunities, and professional development programs, FCP is strengthening our community in countless ways. We're honored to be one small part of that impact.

Devon is a graduate of Eastern University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in social work, and she will complete her master's degree in social work in August 2026. She chose social work because she is passionate about helping others, advocating for those in need, and empowering people to reach their full potential.
Outside of work, much of Devon's free time has been dedicated to finishing graduate school. When she's able to relax, she enjoys everything Christmas, spending time at the beach, coffee, lighthouses, shopping, and dogs.
Since joining CLC as Life Skills Coach in October, Devon has worked alongside learners Tony and Madison. She appreciates CLC's supportive work environment and values the ongoing learning opportunities and training that help her continue to grow as a Life Skills Coach.
Devon builds strong relationships with learners by meeting them where they are, taking the time to understand their individual needs, and creating an environment built on trust and consistency. She is passionate about helping learners strengthen their self-advocacy skills, make their own decisions, express their preferences, and build confidence.
She empowers learners to participate alongside others, providing accommodations and support when needed while encouraging them to challenge themselves and grow in independence. Her kindness, encouragement, and dedication make a positive difference in the lives of the learners she supports.

Every new communication skill Joey learns opens the door to greater independence and gives him more ways to express himself.
This year, he's made incredible progress using his Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device to communicate about the people, places, and activities that bring him joy.
One of Joey's biggest accomplishments has been learning to independently identify frequently used objects on his AAC device. This used to be challenging because it required navigating through multiple screens, but with lots of practice and small, achievable steps, he's made amazing progress.
Joey also loves spending time with the people he cares about. As his communication skills continue to grow, he's learning to use his AAC device to communicate about the important people in his life, giving him another meaningful way to express himself and connect with others.
And, of course, Joey found a way to communicate one of his favorite things— playing on the swings! After learning how to ask for a push on his AAC device this spring, he quickly mastered the skill and now independently requests a push from a variety of instructors on the playground.
Every new word and new skill represents another opportunity for Joey to connect with the world around him. We are so proud of his hard work, determination, and all the progress he has made. We can't wait to see what he accomplishes next!

As we begin to wrap up our 25th program year, we’re taking time to recognize the partnerships that have supported our growth and impact along the way.
This June, CLC received its 8th grant from the Child Development Foundation—a $6,000 award in support of individualized instructional materials for children in Montgomery County. This is the largest grant we have received from the Foundation to date, and we are truly honored by their continued partnership and investment in our work.
At Comprehensive Learning Center, these custom materials play a vital role in our instruction, allowing us to create highly individualized programming that meets the unique needs of each learner and supports meaningful skill development that can truly change the trajectory of a child’s life.
We’re truly grateful for Child Development Foundation’s continued partnership and lasting impact on the individuals and families we serve, helping us expand these opportunities and reach more learners along the way!

Wishing everyone a safe and happy July 4th weekend! We hope you’ve been enjoying summer break.
We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday for the Extended School Year (ESY) at Comprehensive Learning Center!
If you're not familiar with ESY, it's an extension of the school year designed to help students maintain and continue building and maintaining the skills they’ve worked so hard to develop. Keeping consistent routines and ongoing practice is especially important for helping those skills stay strong and continue to grow over time.
Looking forward to a great week ahead! 💙

As we celebrate 25 years of serving individuals with autism, we're taking time to recognize the partnerships that have helped shape our journey. This year also marks another exciting milestone for CLC—we received our 100th grant award!
We're incredibly grateful to the Eagles Autism Foundation for their generous grant supporting CLC’s Individualized Instructional Materials. This investment strengthens our ability to design and deliver highly individualized learning materials that meet the unique needs of each student.
CLC has developed customized curricular materials to accompany many of our nearly 800 individualized instructional programs. This represents a significant investment, as each skill for our 50+ learners is broken down into detailed, step-by-step instruction and materials are continually revised as needed until each learner is able to successfully master the skill, ensuring instruction remains responsive, effective, and tailored to their progress.
Delivered primarily through 1:1 instruction and supported by ongoing data collection, they help increase engagement, build independence, and strengthen skill generalization across settings.
Most importantly, this support provides our learners with the individualized tools they need to build confidence, develop meaningful life skills, and celebrate milestones that once seemed out of reach. It also means families have a dedicated team walking alongside them every step of the way. We are deeply honored by the
Eagles Autism Foundation's partnership and the lasting impact their generosity will have on the individuals and families we serve.
To the Eagles Autism Foundation, thank you for believing in our mission and for investing in the potential of every learner. Your partnership has made a lasting impact on our organization, and we're grateful to celebrate this milestone with you.
