Classical Violin with Rylee

Not everyone that wants to learn violin already has one just sitting in their attic, but most of those interested have probably heard somewhere that buying a new one is expensive.

Don’t get me wrong, it most definitely can be.

However, several students of mine have purchased great quality beginner violins from Amazon for under $150. The “name brand” beginner violins available in stores such as Eastman and Cremona start out at double the price for similar (if not slightly worse) quality and don’t usually include everything you would need.

My new go-to recommendation is this Kmise complete kit. On top of sounding excellent for a student model, it comes with a shoulder rest, extra strings, a nice case, and the indispensable fingerboard guide.

All for as little as $120, and if you decide you don’t like it or playing violin at all, it can be returned within 30 days.

So, if you came across my page and have interest in learning to play, please reach out! And if you’re not sure about making the investment yet, I’ll let you use my violin on your first lesson.

It all starts with a basic skills book then blossoms into all kinds of beautiful music.

For me, it started with the same kind of book pictured (in 4th grade) and by high school I was playing a Beethoven showpiece that still remains my favorite song to play.

You don’t have to be 8/9 years old to start on a hobby that will bring you joy! But you do have to put in the work and have someone to guide you, so send a message or give me a call!
