Going to copy and paste this from mom’s page.

September is NICU Awareness month. I am so incredibly thankful for the team of doctors and nurses that took care of Maddie for the 60 days that she was in their care.

Being born at under 2lbs, Maddie had so much developing and growing she needed to do before she was ready to come home. 60 days of it. I was there every day to hold her, to sing to her, to love her. But every night I went home to rest and I rested well knowing the love and care that she was surrounded with by her medical team. The nurses were there with me in the happy milestone moments and the moments when I broke down and cried. I will always remember them and how they held my baby through that time.

Special thank you to all of those nurses and all the NICU nurses out there especially my cousin Haley, who was born to love on those babies.

Maddie is a beautiful, strong, kind, funny, loving, compassionate girl. She truly was and remains our little miracle 🩷👣

Race weekend recap!
Special shout out to Aunt Val for covering our entry fees this weekend and for always supporting Ev and Maddie in their racing adventures!

This weekend we took on Buckeye Quarter Midget Racing for the 5th stop of Midwest Thunder .25 Quarter Midget Racing Series!!

Ev Jr Honda
Heat - 4➡️1 first mwt heat win and this put us on the pole of the a main 😬😬
A-main - 1➡️6 unfortunately dad missed on gearing. I went back and forth on this all day deciding what I should do. Ultimately made the wrong call. We ran in 3rd place for a good chunk of the race we just ran out of steam with gearing 😞

Maddie Sr Honda
Heat - 2➡️4 Maddie battled it out in this race and was just as fast as the 3 that finished in front of her. Her and the 3 car traded blows for a few laps passing and crossing each other over which let the top two pull away. Ultimately the 3 car got the best of us and we couldn’t run him back down.
B-main - 6➡️5 this out is as the x car in the a main.

A-main - We did not make it into the race unfortunately.

Sundays races were cancelled due to rain! 😢
Maddie was slated to make her Unr animal debut at Midwest thunder! We were bummed but not much you can do about Mother Nature.

Everett continues to drive his butt off. Winning anything at a mwt is a big deal especially in a 20 car field! Very proud of that one!
Maddie we just missed the mark a bit in an extremely competitive sr Honda field!

Next up is championship weekend at Mmra before our final stop of Midwest thunder at Maddie and Ev’s favorite race track Northwest Ohio Quarter Midget Racing!

Race weekend recap!!
We went into this weekend with championships on the line for Everett and he drove his tail off all weekend!!

Saturday points race #9 qualifying

Ev Jr Honda - qualified first
Heat: 1➡️4 didn’t have a great start and made some mistakes that put us in the back.
Feature: 4➡️2 🏁🥈 The end of this race was a battle. Ev had the faster car but ended up getting crossed over and battling for the lead the last couple laps! His buddy Gabe took it home!

Ev Jr animal - qualified first
Heat: 1➡️1
Feature: 1➡️1 🏁🥇This car was on rails!

Maddie Sr Honda - terrible qualifying Maddie is in her head with qualifying and can’t seem to put a good 5 laps down!
Heat: 6➡️4
Feature: 7➡️7 didn’t really have the car unfortunately!

Maddie Unr Animal - qualified 3rd
Heat: 3 ➡️3
Feature: 3➡️2 🥈

Sunday club race #10! Also jr animal special feature!

Ev Jr Honda
Heat: 1➡️2
Feature: 2➡️1 🥇

Ev Jr animal
Heat: 2➡️1
Feature: 1➡️1 🥇

Maddie Sr Honda
Heat: 1➡️5 man this car sucked! That one’s on dad!
Feature: 9➡️6 Maddie was involved in a very hard wreck. She was ok and we were able to put bandaid on the car to finish! 6th in an 11 car field with a busted up car I’ll take it!!

Maddie Unr Animal
Heat: 1➡️3
Feature: 3➡️2 🥈this is the most confident I have seen Maddie drive in this car. She was all over the first place car for the last 10 laps. It was a blast to watch her drive so hard!

This weekend was a little bit of everything. Everett absolutely killed it and set himself up for a fun championship weekend next club race! Don’t think we can mathematically capture the Honda but we have a small lead in the animal as of right now! Maddie we continue to struggle with the Honda. I feel we are either really fast or junk! No in between right now unfortunately 🥴🥴 dads gotta figure that out!!
