You probably don’t need a bigger to-do list. You need a clearer three.

In this Teamepreneur episode, we talk about how the Big 3 Method™ has changed the way I approach each day.

Start with the goals you’ve already written down. Then ask:

What are the 3 most important things I can do today that actually move me toward them?

When those priorities are clear, ex*****on gets simpler. And when life inevitably gets noisy, distracted, or unpredictable, the Big 3 gives you something concrete to come back to.

You may not finish everything on your list.

But if you consistently complete the 3 things that matter most, your progress starts to build across days, weeks, and months.

Clarity creates discipline. Discipline creates momentum.

You can’t always make life stable. But you can know where your stability comes from.

In this Teamepreneur episode, we explore the idea of stability and instability across the Four Spheres of Life — People, Profit, Passion, and Play.

The world shifts. Markets change. Costs rise. Relationships get tested. Health and routines can become less predictable. And when the surface underneath us feels unstable, it becomes much harder to move confidently toward our goals.

That’s why it matters to ask:

Who can I count on?
Where do I feel grounded?
Where am I feeling instability?
And where can I create stability for someone else?

Because stability is not just something we receive.

Sometimes we create it by helping another person feel less alone, less uncertain, or less stuck.

The goal isn’t to eliminate instability.

It’s to know where your anchors are — and to become one for someone else.

There are days when I walk into a room with plenty of energy.

And there are days when I absolutely don’t.

I’ve learned that waiting to feel energetic before I start moving usually doesn’t work very well.

One of the places I’ve seen this most clearly is teaching spin. You can’t walk into a room, stand at the front, and expect everyone else to create the energy for you. Sometimes you’re tired. Sometimes it’s been a long day. Sometimes you’d probably rather be sitting somewhere with a coffee.

But the class is there.

So you move. You turn on the music. You engage with the people in the room. You start pedaling. You encourage somebody. And somewhere along the way, the energy you were waiting for starts showing up.

That lesson has carried into a lot of other parts of my life.

Leadership doesn’t mean being “on” all the time. It does mean recognizing that the energy we bring can affect the people around us — our teams, our families, our clients, and sometimes an entire room.

And when our energy isn’t where we need it to be, we can do something about it.

Move.
Be present.
Say thank you.
Create a little momentum.

Leadership begins with managing your own energy.

A dream becomes much more powerful when you give it clarity.

In this Teamepreneur workshop clip, we explore the difference between simply dreaming about something and developing a real vision for it.

A dream says, “Wouldn’t it be nice if…”

A vision starts answering bigger questions. What do I really want? What would it look like? And what needs to happen next?

Then comes the practical work: write it down, turn it into action steps, look at it across the 4 Spheres of Life — People, Profit, Passion, and Play — and keep coming back to it.

Because one of the biggest challenges isn’t creating the goal.

It’s remembering to revisit it.

When the vision stays visible, we can keep asking whether the actions we’re taking this week are actually moving us toward the life we said we wanted.

Clarity turns dreams into vision. Consistent action turns vision into reality.

You can be the director of your life without controlling every scene.

We don’t control the market. We don’t control other people. And sometimes, even after we’ve done the work, gone the extra mile, and tried everything we know to try, we still don’t get the outcome we wanted.

In this Teamepreneur coaching conversation, I share how I handled a difficult client situation by shifting the focus away from defending the work and toward creating choices.

Talk through the problem and find a path forward. Get another perspective. Or step away.

Something interesting happens when people realize they aren’t trapped. Everyone becomes more empowered.

There can still be empathy. There can still be disappointment. There can still be a difficult reality to work through. But we don’t have to become defensive or tie our identity to the result.

Being the director of your life isn’t about controlling everything that happens.

It’s about understanding what you can control, deciding what outcome you want, creating choices, and then being willing to release what isn’t yours to control.

Success isn’t only about knowing where you want to go. It’s also about knowing where the gaps are.

In this Teamepreneur workshop clip, we dive into what I call the Who Tool — a simple way to look at the people around you across seven different domains of life.

Who are your teammates? Who helps you stay focused? Who lifts you spiritually? Who supports your fitness, your work, your fun, or your emotional life? And just as importantly, where are you missing a Leader-Coach who can challenge, guide, and help you grow?

The goal isn’t to build a perfect circle of people.

It’s to become more intentional about your Who.

Because once you can see the gaps between where you are and where you want to go, you can start deciding who might help you close them.

A bunch of years ago, I decided I wanted to teach spin.

I loved taking classes — my body felt great after a class — and I really looked up to the instructors who could completely change the energy in a room with the right music, the right coaching, and the right motivation.

I wanted to do that too.

So I got certified, interviewed with a few studios and gyms… and nothing happened. No one hired me. For about 6 months.

Then, one coordinator asked if I would be I start as a substitute. Which wasn’t exactly what I had pictured. But it gave me a place to start.

Every time I got called in, I taught the class. I worked on the music. I figured out what connected and what didn’t. I got more comfortable. I got better.

Eventually, the substitute classes turned into a permanent spot — and I built some great groups and strong student friendships.

It’s a small story, but I think about it a lot.

Things don’t always happen the way we expect them to. Sometimes the opportunity looks smaller than we hoped. Sometimes the timing is off. Sometimes the first answer is “not yet.”

But what happens next still has a lot to do with us.

We get to decide whether we keep going, whether we learn something from it, whether we adjust, and whether we’re ready when the next opportunity shows up.

Life is 50% what happens to you and 50% how you respond. Maybe the math isn’t exact. But the idea is.

You don’t always get to choose what happens. You do get to choose what you do next.

Accountability isn't one person checking up on you — it's your network of accountability.

In this Teamepreneur episode, we talk about what I call the "Who Equation":

Accountability = Self + Team + Leader-Coach

Ex*****on begins with personal responsibility. We set our intentions, so we have to own the actions that follow. But self-accountability only gets us so far.

The people alongside us — friends, colleagues, partners, and teammates — create another layer of accountability through shared commitments and encouragement.

And then there are our leader-coaches. These are the people who challenge us, guide us, and help hold us accountable to what we say we want.

Think about when you’ve been incredibly successful. Beyond your own will, you like had a “team” of people that supported you, and a leader or coach who held you accountable and inspired you.

Strong leaders don't try to do everything alone. They intentionally build the right accountability around themselves. Because sometimes the difference between intention and ex*****on is simply who knows what you said you were going to do.

We all have good intentions. The question is, what turns intention into action?

In this clip from a Teamepreneur workshop, we talk about what I call the "Who Equation”:

Ex*****on = Intention + Accountability

We all know what it's like to intend to do something and still not get it done. We intend to exercise. Make the call. Start the project. Have the conversation. Build the business. Make the change.

But once we set an intention, ultimately one of two things happens. We do it or we don't.

So what closes the gap?

Accountability.

The stronger the accountability we build around an intention — to ourselves, to our teams, or to the people we've asked to hold us accountable — the more likely we are to execute.

That's why accountability isn't simply someone checking up on us. It's one of the tools that shifts what we intend to do into what we actually do.

Because intentions can point us toward the future we want.

Ex*****on is what gets us there.

Leadership isn't just about managing your time. It's about managing everything you're investing.

In this clip from a Teamepreneur coaching session, we explore an important leadership concept: the Investables.

Every one of us has a limited supply of resources to invest—our time, our money, our energy, our relationships, and our heart. The challenge isn't simply deciding where to invest them. It's understanding the stories we're telling ourselves about those investments.

Every investment both serves us and costs us something.

The key isn't finding an investment with no downside. The key is choosing investments whose empowering story is stronger than the sacrifice they require.

Using the Teamepreneur Four Spheres of Life — People, Profit, Passion, and Play — we can evaluate where we're investing our lives as leaders and whether those investments align with the future we're trying to build.

Because lasting change doesn't happen by accident. It happens through Awareness. Acknowledgement. Action.
