Utah Department of Commerce released the first data from its AI prescription renewal pilot program, finding a 72% rate of prescription renewal recommendation rate. Of those cases, 91% of reviewing physicians agreed with the decision. In cases where renewal was not approved by the AI system, 69% of physician reviews agreed that the escalation was appropriate.
