Even if you're a progressive, sometimes we'll post something that you disagree with or find distasteful. The great thing about liberals is we're not one big, homogeneous group who stick to a single ideology. Our page is something of a current events museum - sometimes we hang art that may be slightly offensive or push boundaries, but somebody has to ask questions that make people uncomfortable. Trump has promised a $5000 check to every U.S. adult if the Republicans win the midterm elections. Why shouldn’t you trust him?
During his two terms, Trump has lied 35,371 times, with 11,120 unique lies documented.
Trump promised to fully unseal and publish all unredacted government documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. That was a lie.
In 2025, he promised $2000 tariff rebate checks and $5,000 DOGE dividend checks to everyone. That was a lie.
Trump promised a temporary 10% cap on credit card interest rates to alleviate consumer debt. That was a lie.
Trump promised to slash household energy and electricity bills by at least 50% within a year of the 2024 election. That was a lie.
Trump repeatedly asserted he would negotiate an immediate end to the war in Ukraine within 24 hours of taking office. That was a lie.
Trump said his war with Iran would take 4 to 5 weeks. So far, it has dragged on for 200 days, costing $246 million per day. He has said the war is nearly over or wrapping up at least 32 times. That was a lie.
Trump knocked down the East Wing of the White House for a ballroom he said would cost $200 million, paid for with private funds. The latest estimates are $900 million, with taxpayers on the hook for at least $700 million. That was a lie.
Trump promised to drastically reduce the federal deficit and slash government spending to reduce the national debt. Instead, he has expanded the federal debt past the $40 trillion threshold. That was a lie.
All Trump does is lie, and he knows MAGA Republicans are gullible enough to keep buying it (no matter how many times he's screwed them over) because they're incapable of admitting they were wrong about him.

A video shows the moment two Texas teens, paperwork in hand on their way to enlist in the Marine Corps, are pulled from their car by ICE agents, pepper-sprayed, and beaten before being locked up for 8 hours - all for recording ICE activity from a safe distance. When one of the teens told the agent he was a citizen, the agent told him, "I don't give a damn. Your parents can't help you now," and threatened to deport him to Mexico.
After the encounter, at least one of the teens says he no longer plans to enlist.
