Emory Diggs (Emory Diggs) 🎤🎶

D.C.’s own Emory Diggs is a bassist who has recorded with top artists jncluding Godfather of Go-Go, Chuck Brown.

Orville the Poet, spoken word artist, host, and event curator. Orville brings poetry, music, and community together throughout the DMV.

He’s also the creator and host of Pure Poetry Live!

K-Love the Poet (K Love The Poet) 🎤

An internationally touring poet, speaker, and author. K-Love the Poet is known for her vulnerable, authentic approach to spoken word.

Mariah “Beyond Your Definition” Barber (beyondyourdefinition) 🎤

A storyteller, spoken word artist, host, and activist they create social justice-oriented art that invites audiences to feel seen and think deeply.

Marjan Naderi (Marjan Naderi • مرجان) 🎤

A seven-time National Poetry Slam Master and former D.C. Youth Poet Laureate, Marjan Naderi has been featured in The Washington Post and NPR.

J’TA (J’TA) 🎤🎶

Known as the “Voice of D.C.,” J’TA brings R&B, soul, gospel, and the rhythms of D.C. go-go to the stage.

When LAFC took on DC United, our poet-athletes, families, and coaches got to meet Bethesda native Jeremy Ebobisse after the match 🥰

Earlier this year, Jeremy joined our HD Cooke poet-athletes virtually to share small-space soccer drilled, talk service-learning, and remind our bilingual poet-athletes that speaking more than one language is a superpower💪

Through his foundation (Kingjebo Ventures), he made a $15,000 donation to DC SCORES, helping support a full year of poetry and soccer for the youth in Adams Morgan. 🎤⚽️
