A full house despite the Tube strike! Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's Fulbright Distinguished Lecture featuring Dr. Zeynep Tüfeçki, renowned sociologist, Princeton professor, New York Times columnist, and leading voice on AI and social media ethics.
Rather than focusing on familiar environmental or economic doomsday narratives, her thought-provoking lecture explored how AI is reshaping trust in the social fabric and institutions we rely on. Thank you to Professor Tüfeçki for an insightful and timely discussion. If you would like to watch the recording of the lecture, please visit the link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvu37eIvi44

Seven years ago, our 2019 Norwegian Project Support alumna Kristen Gleason used her award to gather inspiration in Norway for a short story collection she dreamed of writing.
Today, we are proud to play a small part of her creative journey and celebrate the release of that collection, The Wallet and Other Thefts!
Described as “a book of short fiction shimmering with mystery and menace,” the collection explores themes of theft, shame, exile, tourism, and nature through surreal and interconnected stories that unfold beyond conventional time and space.
If you’d like to grab a copy and support Kristen’s work, you can find the book here: https://nyupress.org/9781964499673/the-wallet-and-other-thefts/
