The Howard Bremer Scholarship supports students and professionals with less than two years of experience in the field. Recipients receive complimentary registration to the AUTM Annual Meeting, a $500 honorarium, up to $1,300 in travel support, and formal recognition at the meeting.

Four UNC-Chapel Hill faculty teams are turning research into community-centered solutions through the 2026 Translating Innovative Ideas for the Public Good Awards.

This year’s projects address early-onset cancer care, bullying of autistic youth, student wellness, and rural emergency response. With funding and support from Innovate Carolina, each team will work directly with the people it hopes to serve, using co-creation and real-world testing to develop solutions that are practical, scalable, and sustainable.

Since 2023, the TIIP program has awarded nearly $560,000 to 13 cross-disciplinary projects designed to move innovation beyond the university and into communities.
