"We're all a small part of something bigger."

Matt Witte didn't know what he was walking into when he joined the ZERO Peaks Challenge in Peru. What he found was a group of people bound by the same connection: prostate cancer and its impact on men and families.

"That large world we've entered together will keep us together for years to come."

The next chapter is Everest Base Camp, happening April 15–May 1, 2027. Will you be part of it?

We're breaking the silence and advancing better care.

Two of ZERO’s leading voices, Chief Mission Officer Brian Bragg and ZERO Board Member Dr. Kelvin A. Moses (Vanderbilt University Medical Center), are featured in Mediaplanet's Future of Healthy Living supplement in USA TODAY.

Here’s what they’re urging every man and family to know:

• Break the Stigma: Brian Bragg emphasizes that silence is far more dangerous than an uncomfortable conversation. 1 in 8 American men, and 1 in 6 Black men, will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, but getting checked early changes the outcome.

• Take Proactive Action: Dr. Moses shares that protecting your prostate health mirrors heart health, like regular exercise, healthy sleep, whole foods, knowing your family history, and talking to your doctor about individualized screening.

Together, we are breaking barriers to survival. Read their full features: https://bit.ly/46V6AzJ

"When you ignore the symptoms, it's like playing Russian roulette with your life."

ZERO Global Ambassador and actor Ricco Ross, who just hit the runway in LA at the Blue Jacket Fashion Show last night for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, is featured in Future of Healthy Living, an independent supplement published in USA Today.

In this feature, Ricco opens up about why so many men, especially Black men, delay prostate screening, and why breaking that silence can save lives.

"When we can have open dialogue about prostate health, we can save lives."

30 Years of Impact | Story 29 of 30

"When I’m sitting in rooms that are deciding policy and coverage for PSA testing for Black men at a younger age, I think, ‘Wow, this is affecting millions of people... and this was just something that started with my dad.’" — Dr. Leanne Woods-Burnham

When Theo Woods was diagnosed with prostate cancer at age 50, his daughter Leanne was an undergraduate biology student. That moment transformed her life and ignited a career in health advocacy.

Black men face a 1-in-6 lifetime risk of prostate cancer. They are also 1.7x more likely to be diagnosed and 2x more likely to die from the disease than White men.

Today, Dr. Woods-Burnham is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Morehouse School of Medicine and a member of ZERO’s Medical Advisory Board. As we near the end of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and celebrate 30 years of ZERO, her work exemplifies what leadership and advocacy in the highest-risk communities look like.

One year ago, ZERO Prostate Cancer launched something bold.

A team of advocates, caregivers, and prostate cancer survivors took on the Lemosho Route to the 19,341-foot summit. Together, they raised over $500,000 to expand access to prostate cancer awareness, education, and patient support programs.

And right now? A brand new team is on that mountain, climbing for the same cause.

We are deeply grateful to our Presenting Sponsor, Tolmar, whose commitment made the inaugural ZERO Peaks Challenge possible and continues to drive real impact for men and families affected by prostate cancer.
