📊 In a new national survey, nearly 8 in 10 parents say they would trust a financial institution more if it provided financial education. Parents are looking for support in preparing their children for real-world financial decisions, and many see financial institutions as part of the solution.

When organizations invest in financial education, they’re doing more than delivering lessons. They’re helping create opportunities, strengthen communities, and build trust with the families they serve.

Through the Center for Audit Quality’s Accounting+ program, students from Miami Senior High School recently spent the day at BDO’s Miami office, where they heard from accounting professionals, asked questions about career paths, and practiced introducing themselves through a personal elevator pitch. The experience offered a firsthand look at the skills, opportunities, and connections that help shape a successful future in accounting.

By connecting classroom learning with real-world experiences, programs like these help students build confidence, expand their networks, and better understand the pathways available to them after high school. ⭐️

Stepping into a professional environment can shape how students see their future.

Students from Blanche Ely High School recently spent the day at Crowe’s Fort Lauderdale office through the Center for Audit Quality’s Accounting+ program, bringing their classroom learning to life. From hearing directly from firm leaders to asking questions and developing their personal elevator pitches, students gained a clearer understanding of the opportunities within accounting and how to begin shaping their own path. One student was also recognized with a $5,000 scholarship.

Experiences like this help connect learning to real opportunity, giving students the confidence, connections, and perspective to take their next steps. ⭐️

Positivity at the plate! ⚾️

In May we teamed up with the Padres Foundation and MLB Together to host an “Understanding Mental Wellness” experience at Petco Park for high school students from O’Farrell Charter School.

In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month , students joined an interactive panel featuring Padres pitcher Joe Musgrove, Sideline Reporter Mariluz Cook, UC San Diego Health’s Dr. Laura Sudano, and radio voice Jesse Agler. They shared powerful insights on overcoming challenges, handling social media negativity, and staying focused under pressure.

Students then participated in a hands-on Gallery Walk to reflect on how they protect their own mental health and support their peers, before wrapping up the day by catching a Padres game!
