Washington General Store

We, at the Washington General Store, use this page to promote ourselves, our food, our good times, our entertainers, but mostly, our community, and the people in it. We try to give positive reinforcement to our youth & recognize their accomplishments & successes. Fish & Game is a major part of this community & its surrounding areas. If you don't agree with the beliefs or practices of a community, save your comments to yourself over trying to bring down a 10 y/o who chose to wake up at 4 am with his father, hike into the woods, & use practiced skill to help collect food for his family, all on his day off from school. That boy will most likely grow up to be resourceful, hard working, dedicated & useful to society over the other kid at home fighting off childhood obesity & staring at a screen for 8 hours a day. I will not turn off comments as I want this young person to be recognized & feel the positivity from his community, but I will continue to block your negative ones. Everyone has an opinion, but it doesn't need to be shared, you just want to be heard & and our page, is not the place to do it. Now, back to our regularly schedule program of positivity.

Congrats to Colton on his first bear! We're not weighing bear yet but we cant wait for when he gets his second!

This beautifully crafted book will be available for a limited time at the store. It's a thoughtful and articulate look at the people, the history, and the surroundings of Island Pond and the love of all things Washington. A must have for any Washington family home.

Please help us in supplying needed items for the students of Washington and their families as they prepare to go back to school this fall! The Shedd Free Library, in collaboration with the Washington Congregational Church, is hosting a School Supplies Drive. Donations can be dropped off any time from now until the start of school and will be greatly appreciated! Please feel free to call the library or church with any questions. A detailed list of needed items is attached. And as always, we appreciate your support! 🎒✏️🍎📏
