Amphibians are among the most threatened vertebrate groups. Nigeria hosts over 120 amphibian species. Meanwhile, large portion of the country is yet to be studied.
We need to raise more conservation biologists, interested in herpetology to contribute in conserving the high diversity of amphibians in Nigeria, and even lead a research toward additional discoveries.
Access to funding is paramount in sustaining our rich biodiversity.

It has been a great week in Massachusetts! I am currently at the Museum of Comparative Zoology ( ) at Harvard University , studying the Phrynobatrachus steindachneri species complex.
I am grateful to for awarding me the Ernst Mayr Travel Grant, which made this research visit possible. The staff at the MCZ Herpetology Department have been incredibly helpful throughout my visit. I sincerely thank Stevie Kennedy-Gold for the warm welcome and support, which have made my time at MCZ a wonderful and productive experience.
