Trenton continues to expand his role at Taylor Fire, especially when it comes to troubleshooting and servicing fire alarm systems. He’s an excellent inspector who doesn’t just identify issues—he takes the time to make repairs on site whenever possible and makes sure our customers are taken care of.
If there’s work in Fairbanks, there’s a good chance Trenton is our guy! Our Fairbanks customers love working with him, and Fairbanks is practically his second home.
Trenton also continues to invest in his technical knowledge, completing a fire alarm networking class this year to further strengthen his skills with fire alarm panels.
Thank you, Trenton, for 6 great years of hard work, growth, and taking care of our customers. We’re lucky to have you on the Taylor Fire team!

MYTH: Grab any fire extinguisher and start spraying.
REALITY: Different extinguishers are designed for different types of fires. Using the wrong one can be ineffective—or make the situation more dangerous. Only use an extinguisher if the fire is small and contained, someone has called 911, and you have a clear escape route. If you’re unsure, get out and stay out.
For example, did you know that a “K” class extinguisher is EXCLUSIVELY for suppressing kitchen fires?
Throwback Thursday to the Alaska State Fair! We loved spending time at our booth, helping visitors with fire extinguisher inspections, answering questions, and sharing quick fire safety training with the community…but this was the highlight.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by, said hello, and helped make the fair such a fun reminder of why we love serving Alaska.

Taylor Fire is proud to introduce the Skilled Trades Achievement Award, a new annual award recognizing an outstanding graduate of the Don Young Alaska Job Corps Center.
Rick was honored to present the inaugural recipient with a certificate, plaque, and $500 to help him get started in his new trade. Supporting young Alaskans as they develop practical skills, build careers, and strengthen our communities is deeply important to our team.
Congratulations to this year’s recipient and the entire graduating class. We were grateful to be part of your celebration and look forward to presenting this award for years to come. Thank you, Job Corps!

Happy birthday to Reed Graham! We’re glad to have you as part of the Taylor Fire team and hope the coming year brings you plenty of good things.
We take fire safety seriously. Bucking salmon? A little less seriously.
One of our own put on an impressive performance at the Alaska Safety Alliance’s Safety Swing & Summer Fling. We’re still deciding whether this belongs on the official Taylor Fire skills inventory.

Don’t wait for the first hard freeze to think about your fire sprinkler system.
Trapped water can freeze, burst pipes and leave a sprinkler system unable to respond during an emergency. Wet and dry systems have different cold-weather maintenance needs, so September is a good time to schedule a professional inspection and address potential problems before temperatures drop.
Plan ahead now. Contact Taylor Fire to make sure your sprinkler system is ready for an Alaska winter.
