Cedar Valley United Way

We can't forget to share a major thank-you shout-out to our friends at Sip & Squeeze Beverage Co. and Sonny's Place for keeping everyone at Over The Edge fed and well-hydrated!

Make sure to check out their locations and indulge in their delicious menu options. 🫡

Strong partnerships help change stories, one at a time.

Members of our Community Impact Teams recently visited YWCA Black Hawk County to see firsthand how Cedar Valley United Way investments are making a difference for local children and families.

This year, Cedar Valley United Way is proud to invest in four YWCA programs:
1. Parents Achieving Success with Support (PASS)
2. Summer Daze Child Care,
3. Wize Girlz
4. Y’s Kids Before and After School Care.

Together, these programs help parents strengthen their families, give young people opportunities to learn and grow, and provide safe, affordable child care that helps families pursue work, education, and greater financial stability.

Visits like this give our Community Impact volunteers a chance to see beyond the grant applications and numbers and learn more about the people, programs, and stories behind each investment.

And we couldn't help but love the colorful mural in the preschool area. It felt like the perfect reminder of what these partnerships are all about: creating hope, opportunity, and brighter possibilities for the next chapter of someone’s story.

Thank you to the YWCA Black Hawk County team for welcoming us, sharing your work, and showing us the impact you're creating every day in the Cedar Valley.

Together, we're changing our community One Story at a Time. ❤️❤

When you're told to let go of the ropes, lean back, and smile for a photo while hanging over a 6-story building...

Feel free to tag a brave soul you know in this post! 🫡

Thank you to every participant who went Over the Edge with us last Friday at TechWorks Campus

Massive thank you to DJ Darryl (Anant) of Elite DJ’s for stepping in last second to help bring the fun at last Friday’s Over The Edge event!

Letting rappellers pick their theme music was the perfect touch!

The Hawkeye RedTail Athletics showed up today to support their two Over The Edge athletes. Thank you!

Thank you, to our Fearless Sponsor, Superior Cleaning Services USA, LLC, for making Over The Edge possible!

Their team made it look too easy rappelling down the side of the TechWorks Campus building. 😤

Give it up for your brave ‘26 Campaign Co-Chairs, Megan Armbruster Franklin and Ethan Crawford, representing UNI Athletics and Hawkeye RedTail Athletics. 🫡

Thank you for going Over The Edge!

The KWWL crew is ready to go Over The Edge.

You still have time to rappel by registering at the door!
