ALS TDI
We have one mission. End ALS. We are the world's most comprehensive drug discovery lab focused solely on ALS.
As a nonprofit biotech, our cutting-edge research is fueled by the ALS community. Visit www.als.net to explore our impact and help fund cures. Since 1999, our team has grown from a family working in a basement to a team of over 30 full-time researchers. We are dedicated to discovering and inventing effective treatments to end ALS. We will not stop until there is a treatment for every person living with ALS.
Pevindi knew she wanted to be a scientist when she was nine years old.
She was often sick as a child, and every new medicine made her wonder how it worked. Then she learned that some diseases still have no cure. “Why is this incurable?” That question became the foundation of her career.
Pevindi joined ALS TDI’s research team this year as part of our ongoing expansion. Today, she is studying C9orf72, one of the most common known genetic causes of ALS. Her work involves differentiating stem cells into motor neurons to create cellular models that can help us better understand the biology of C9orf72-associated ALS and evaluate potential treatments.
We are thrilled to have her on our growing team.
Follow along to meet more of the scientists behind the work.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend Brooke Eby.
Brooke had a rare ability to talk about ALS with honesty and humor in a way that made people listen. By sharing her life so openly, she helped people understand the devastating reality of this disease and brought many who had no previous connection to ALS into the fight to end it.
In 2023, Brooke performed a stand-up comedy routine at ALS TDI’s White Coat Affair. This clip captures the humor and levity she brought to an incredibly serious subject, and so much of what made Brooke special.
We are grateful that Brooke shared her voice and this moment with us. Our hearts are with her family, her friends, and everyone who loved her.

Michele is here to help. And so is the rest of our team.
An extension cord. An extra pair of hands settling into a hotel room. Someone to park the van. Specialty foods, larger straws, an outlet close enough to plug in equipment. Whatever a person living with ALS needs at Leadership Weekend, our Development Director and VIP Concierge Michele Dupree will be on hand all weekend long — and she's just a call, text, or email away at any point.
Comfort and care are our #1 priority. If you have a worry, bring it to us. We have people here to help.

At our recent Town Hall, Dr. Hannah Walters and our partners at GeoALS and Esri showed what happens when ALS research gets mapped. Where clinics are, and who lives hours from one. Where ARC participants have lived across their whole lives, not just today. The questions that open up when you layer environmental data on top of residential history.
If you've ever filled out an ARC survey, this is what your data helps contribute to, thank you for being a part of our studies.

Meet the People Behind the Research.
Take a look back at last year's 2025 ALS TDI Research Summit poster session, where our scientists broke down their projects in their own words. They'll be back October 9 with new work, so come ask them about it yourself!
Only one week left to register for in-person attendance at the Summit or the White Coat Affair.

Our 2025 Annual Report is here, and for the first time, it’s fully digital.
In 2025, your support helped ALS TDI advance potential treatments, build better research tools, learn from people with ALS, and share valuable data across the field. That progress also laid the foundation for our next major step: expanding our team and research capacity to move more promising ideas forward.
