Events for 9/28 - 10/3. October begins on Thursday and we are ushering it in with style! Homeschool Hub has an autumn-themed STEM activity for our homeschool families to enjoy. Thursday also welcomes this season's origami-spotters with a Crow-static scavenger hunt! All visitors, young and old, are invited to participate.

We're switching up our usual pattern for Friday and, instead of a Cozy Tea Kit, adult and teen visitors can pick up Grab & Go kits with the makings for their own Fall Crow Plushie, part of First Friday! To cap the week off, Teen Tabletop will be running a One-shot using The Skeletons TTRPG.

We've been seeing excitement for this from our visitors and it's wonderful to know that people are enjoying the journey! If you don't have a Maine Library Passport, you can pick one up right at the Circulation Desk. And while you're there, fill in the Kennebec County spot with our custom WPL stamp (it has a cool bat)!

We're very excited to have received our first completed passport! The contestant said: "Thanks for the challenge! I have been going to the library since I was 6 and have loved them all my life! I also needed an excuse to visit Aroostook County. This was such an enjoyable adventure and what a beautiful time of the year to drive in Maine. "

Remember, while this is impressive, it's not a race, still plenty of time to get your passport filled and be eligible to win some great prizes! For more info, go to www.mainelibraries.org/passport

Today (September 22) is the first day of autumn! The temperatures are cooling and the days are getting shorter, which means even more reasons to curl up inside with a book or three. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ“š Do you have any genres or authors you gravitate toward in the fall season? Do you have a book you'd recommend?

Events for 9/21 - 9/26. Lots of crafting this week, for Crafternoon, Threads & Tales, Homeschool Hub, and the Grab & Go Kit. Speaking of creativity, if you're writing for any reason and need a little help, take advantage of the free support from trained tutors on Thursday and Saturday. At the same time, teens can join in on Teen Tabletop's continuing D&D campaign for two hours of chaotic fun!
