The Waukee CSD Board of Directors and Superintendent Andy Crozier, PhD traded the dias this morning for hard hats. It was great connecting with City of Waukee leaders whose commitment to workforce housing made this amazing project with Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity possible.

It's important to note how critical the private sector also was in financing the project, including my very own firm's foundation at Principal Financial Group.

The highlight of the event for me was to see a school bus pull up to pick up an elementary student from a family who moved in one of the 48 homes being built.

I am grateful for the partnership and the opportunity to contribute.

The staff at Timberline Middle School is so ready to welcome students for the 26-27 school year. Just one more weekend until we kick off the year!

What a week! Between the Back to School event on Monday welcoming staff back, and Open Houses, the energy in Waukee Community School District this week is amazing. Looking forward to another great year of learning and growth with amazing students, families, and staff!

Congratulations, Mr. Knutson! Way to go 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

Happy Father's Day!

This year, I want to recognize all the Fathers and Father figures who volunteer their time coaching the youth and building our community in all sorts of ways.

We see and appreciate you!
