Hey, Warriors — we're almost ready to welcome you back! Here are three things to know before the first day:

1. On Aug. 14, class schedules will be available in PowerSchool and emailed to families and students. If you'd like to request a schedule change, visit the website: www.waukeeschools.org/academics/schedule-requests

2. The Back-to-School Open House is Aug. 20 from 6-8 p.m. Stop by to meet your teachers and find your classrooms.

3. Don't forget, we have new bell times! Classes begin at 8 a.m. and end at 3 p.m.

We're checking off the final items on our summer to-do list! Crews are cleaning classrooms, moving furniture, and waxing the floors. Prairieview will be ready to welcome staff and students back before we know it. See you in August! 🏫

Some traditions never go out of style... Student registration looked a little different at Waukee CSD in 1961, but getting ready for the new school year still starts with returning student enrollment! If you haven't already, please complete your 2026-27 enrollment.

Every returning student must re-enroll each year so we have the most accurate and up-to-date information on file. The student's primary contact should have received an email from PowerSchool Enrollment with a link to complete the process.

Need help? Stop by the District Office to re-enroll in person or call 515-987-5161.

Get to know our school! We have an awesome PVS Student Council that plans activities to enhance school spirit and spread positivity. Throughout the year, these students organize assemblies, dress-up days, the Spring Fling, service learning projects, and donation drives for WayPoint Resources and Toys for Tots.

Next year, five students from South Middle School and five students from Timberline Middle School were elected to serve on the council, bringing their own creative ideas to better our school and community. We love this student-led initiative! 👏

Students recently spent an exciting week at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas! They competed against some of the best in the country and represented Prairieview with professionalism, leadership, and excellence.

Congratulations to Pranavi Lad & Avanthi Mandava for earning 8th place in Exploring Business Ethics and to Laya Menon for a 9th-place finish in Exploring Business Communications! 👏

Our students also had the opportunity to attend leadership workshops, network with peers, and experience the sights and culture of San Antonio. We are incredibly proud of all 11 Prairieview students for their hard work and dedication!
