TODAY 6 PM BE THERE!!!!

Photos from WASAC's post 09/29/2026

Wellesley College is planning on shutting down the Hindi-Urdu language program and greatly reducing SAS curriculum starting the in the 2027-2028 academic year. This puts the whole program at risk.

We urge college administration to:
    1. Reverse the decision to eliminate the Hindi/Urdu language program.
    2. Reappoint and fund full-time faculty positions for Hindi/Urdu language instruction and SAS-related Anthropology.
    3. Commit to transparency and increased communication with students in staffing decisions moving forward.

Please sign the petition to show your support and share with others! The full statement and link to sign is in our bio.
