I love to snuggle with Mother

When my parents leave the apartment they throw me a pinch of kibble to say goodbye.
As soon as I hear keys rattle and boots get pulled out I know it's kibble time!
I sit by the door in wait.

They say "the best things in life are free" and that may be so - but I'm too busy napping here to concern myself with such thoughts.

Mother is reading a book. She takes out this bookmark thing that she uses so that she remembers where she left off. This is needed because she realizes that I am there for chin scratches and tummy tickles. I'm a little perturbed because it's not a CAT bookmark! What's up with that! Cat bookmark, stat!!!
