The Harriers have several hundred active members, male and female, of all ages and abilities. Membership is open to all upon the payment of annual dues.
The Greater Springfield Harriers, Inc., is an athletic club focused on the specific sports of track and field, cross country, long distance running (particularly road races), and race walking. Founded in 1978, the club is incorporated as a not for profit organization in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is based in the Greater Springfield, Massachusetts area.
Summer Sizzler update:
It does ***NOT*** look likely the 5km course will be cleared up anytime soon. The remaining last two weeks will be the 8KM Road course.
Also adding another week in September will not happen.
Tonight's Summer Sizzler race is cancelled due to recent storm damage at Forest Park.
We expect to be back next week. The alternating 5k/8k schedule will move forward a week and we'll add an addional race.
So 5k next week, 8k aug 26th, and the final race will now be a 5k on September 2nd.
