Unpopular opinion:

You don't need expensive production upgrades, or 500 people, to make a wedding fun. 🤫💡

Social media, and maybe society, says you need fog machines, lasers, and endless props. In reality, guests first care about good food and great music. All the other stuff should compliment those two things-if you must have them.

Some of the best weddings I've been to had High energy not expensive decor. Tip: Invest in a good time with good people.

Unpopular opinion:

Shopping for a DJ by price alone is a trap. 🫣You aren't just buying speakers. You are hiring an emcee to run your timeline, read the room, and keep the party alive. A cheap DJ costs more stress.

Keep it simple: Hire for trust and personality first. If the DJ isn't at least engaging in convo about what you want or what your vibe is - Mid, Mid, Mid, Skip, Skip!!

Unpopular wedding opinion:

Your guests don’t actually care about the color of your napkins or the expensive party favors!! There! I said it....🤫

Over the years of DJing weddings, I’ve watched couples stress over the tiny decor details. (my wife and I did too)
But do you want to know what guests talk about on the car ride home? They talk about how much their feet hurt from dancing, how epic the music transition was from the 90s throwbacks into modern hits. They talk about how they haven't laughed that hard in years, the vibe, and flow of the wedding. 🕺Your timeline, your energy, and the music set the entire vibe for the night. 💃🏻

Everything else is just background noise.
