Sept 19th at our plot Wichita Public Library Maya Angelou to celebrate the fall planting and harvest. We will be planting fall crops and transplanting seedlings.

Community gardening this morning went well at the Food Is a Human Right Garden this am pruning and planting for the fall season ,shoot over to Open Market Saturdays at the Enchanted Mermaid Wichita.
Come take part in the Healthy Corner Store Initiative by purchasing a melon grown right here in community. These melons were planted, tended and harvested by second and third generation farmers, keeping local food knowledge, land stewardship and food sovereignty moving forward.
Know your farmer. Know where your food comes from. Support the people growing it.

Good morning, folks!
Coffee is on and we're out here at the FIAHR Garden tending to it! We're looking to transfer plants, prune and harvest the crops, and build new beds to expand our Fall rotation. Planning on working about all day, so shout out if you have some time today. If you can't make it, comment a picture of your garden or house plants!

Slow and steady in this heat. Join us at the Food Is a Human Right Garden from 8 to 11 AM for Coffee Social (6025 S. Walnut) and our pay what you can, you pick fresh market.
Healthy soil is the beginning of food sovereignty. As temperatures rise, restoring our soil, growing regeneratively and reducing emissions matter more than ever. Five years of biking, public transportation and ridesharing around Wichita has taught us that health really is wealth.
After 11, head to The Enchanted Mermaid + kombucha until 7 PM for fresh produce and $10 watermelons grown by third generation Black Kansas farmers.
Black Americans were once forced into agricultural labor while being denied the land and wealth their work created. Supporting Black farmers today helps reclaim that relationship through ownership, food sovereignty and legacy.
Respect the soil. Respect the growers. Support local. 🌱
