Newton housing pipeline grows as new developments move forward - Newton Kansan 08/28/2026

Newton’s housing market has moved from planning to construction, but city officials say the work is far from finished.

The city’s 2026 Annual Housing Report highlights new construction at Harvest Point and Fox Ridge, about 131 additional lots planned near Sand Creek Station, and several developments working their way through the pipeline.

Community Development Director Zach McHatton says the goal now is to turn that pipeline into actual housing — including single-family homes, duplexes, multifamily housing, senior housing and infill projects at a range of price points.
