Hutton
Together, we exist to build life into team members’ dreams, clients’ visions and community’s future. We do it all.
We're more than builders, we're a team of experts – planners, architects, builders and maintenance all in one house. We serve as a single resource at any point in a client’s facilities journey. However a company may be changing, whether that be new strategic processes, a new building, maintenance for an existing building, or a switch to alternative energy, we're the pros who work it from start to finish and then some.

Countryside Christian Church broke ground on a project that will convert their existing gymnasium into a new space built to serve their kids ministry, designed and built by Hutton. The project also includes a renovated lobby, a new southwest entry, kitchen and restroom updates, and classroom remodels across the north and south wings.
The multipurpose sanctuary design translates the story of Noah's Ark into architectural detail throughout the space. Pre-existing exposed wood beams and curved ceiling framing echo the hull of the ark and the new lighting system is designed around that same spectrum, with color-changing fixtures that let the space shift to fit the needs of any moment, from a kids' ministry lesson to an evening event.
These changes will improve the functionality, security and aesthetics of the children's ministry area while supporting long-term growth.

Last week, Empower broke ground on Provecho, phase two of their project in Wichita's North End. This next phase will transform the historic Nomar Theater and an adjacent building into a new food hall and community venue. Provecho will feature exteriors that visually connect to the Camarena Adelante Center, along with striking interiors and a variety of art installations throughout. We're proud to design and build both phases, and together, they'll completely reinvigorate the southwest corner of 21st and Market.
Phase one, the Camarena Adelante Center, was completed in November 2024 and includes a business incubation test kitchen, event space and community center, along with a mural created in collaboration with local artist Armando Minjárez. As Provecho takes shape, it will carry that energy forward, creating another space where the community can gather, grow and celebrate.

When Creekstone Farms was experiencing low water pressure at its Arkansas City, Kan., beef production facility, Hutton was brought in to design and build a solution that provided more consistent pressure throughout the plant. Working closely with MKEC Engineering, Inc., the team designed a system to meet the owner’s needs.
The project included a new 1 million-gallon water storage tank and pump building, creating an important first step in the facility's water system before city water enters the plant. The system stores water and boosts pressure to help meet the demands of Creekstone's operations. The result is a system designed around the needs of a complex, high-demand facility that helps Creekstone keep its operations moving efficiently.

A new chapter for the Sedgwick County Zoo’s growing elephant herd officially began yesterday with the ribbon cutting for the expanded elephant boma. Hutton joined the zoo team, community leaders and supporters to celebrate the completion of a new space that provides additional indoor room for the zoo’s growing multigenerational herd.
Designed and built by Hutton, the expansion creates more opportunities for the elephants to move, socialize and receive enrichment while giving keepers additional space for care and training. It was an exciting project to be part of, and we enjoyed working alongside the Sedgwick County Zoo to bring this unique facility to life.
Four summers. Three internships. One summer as a laborer. Macy, who joined us from Pittsburg State University, keeps coming back to Hutton because of the culture and the people. This summer, she worked alongside our surveyor, Warren Bontrager, visiting more than 15 Hutton job sites to help with layout.
Over the past several weeks, we’ve introduced you to interns across Hutton who have gained real, hands-on experience learning from the team members around them. As we close our summer intern series, we would like to give a special thank you to Ani, our people operations intern who hosted and helped plan this series, as she concluded this video by heading back to college!
