Today, Auto Works Collision Center pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members, and everyday Americans who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

25 years later, we remember the fallen, the families forever changed, and the heroes who ran toward danger when others were running away.

This Chevy Express van was purchased brand new by our customer years ago with the $30,000 Regency conversion package.

Fast-forward to today, and this is what we found behind the “custom” interior:

House-style insulation stuffed inside the doors, custom wood brackets, and wood screws driven directly into the door just to make the Regency interior panels fit.

For a $30,000 premium conversion package, you’d expect engineered mounting solutions and automotive-grade materials—not something that looks like it was put together in a garage with leftover lumber and insulation.

You never know what’s hiding behind those interior panels until they come apart. 😳

🔧 PAINT BOOTH UPDATE — WE’RE BACK UP & RUNNING! 🔧

We want to apologize to our customers for any inconvenience or delays over the past few days.

On Thursday, we experienced an unexpected mechanical failure with our paint booth that temporarily put our refinishing operations on hold. Our team has been working hard to get the issue resolved correctly and as quickly as possible.

We’re happy to announce that as of late today, our paint booth is officially back up and running! 🎨💪

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we worked through the unexpected downtime. We’ll be working hard to get caught back up and keep your repairs moving forward.

🚨 HAIL THREAT – THURSDAY, APRIL 23RD 🚨

A significant severe weather setup is expected to develop across parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, and into Nebraska tomorrow, with a major hail threat developing during the afternoon and evening hours.

⏰ TIMELINE:
• Late Morning – Early Afternoon: Storms begin to develop
• Afternoon (2–6 PM): Storms intensify rapidly
• Evening (6–10 PM): Peak severe threat
• Late Evening: Storms move east and begin weakening

⚠️ MAIN THREATS:
• 🟣 Large Hail (PRIMARY THREAT) – Hail 2”+ possible, isolated larger
• 💨 Damaging Winds – Gusts up to 60–75+ mph
• 🌪️ Isolated Tornado – Low-end risk, but not zero

📍 AREAS TO WATCH:
Oklahoma City • Tulsa • Wichita • Salina • Kansas City • Omaha

This setup strongly favors supercell thunderstorms, especially along and just west of the I-35 corridor, where conditions will be most favorable for very large hail producers.

⚠️ BOTTOM LINE:
Some storms could become intense quickly, producing damaging hail and strong winds. Stay weather aware if you’re in the highlighted region.
