The Work Readiness & Experience Program at CPRF is accepting participants for our online and in-person sessions! With classes offered once per quarter, we encourage participants to attend each class to gain the full benefit of the program.

Individuals 16 and older who face employment barriers are encouraged to sign up!

Barriers include:
• Cognitive/Physical Disabilities
• English as a Second Language (Spanish)
• Single-parent household
• Teen Pregnancy
• Foster care System
• Low-income household

💚 September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month 💚

A spinal cord injury may change your path, but it does not define your future. At CPRF, we recognize the importance of access, mobility, and independence for people living with spinal cord injuries! 💚

Week two of our Blueprint Reading Training Program class is underway! 🎉

This week, students took a more hands-on approach to learning by becoming familiar with measurement tools and practicing their skills using real-world items they encounter in the workplace. 📏🔧

We're excited to see our students building confidence, developing new skills, and preparing for success in the workplace! 💪

It's National Secondhand Wardrobe Day! Why not celebrate by donating to our coat drive! Drop off your unwanted or unused coats in the donation box located in our front office. Please get your donations in before October 2.

Adult Day Services was busy today brightening up the room and everyone's mood by painting sunflowers! 🌻 Sunflowers are not only Kansas' official state flower, but it also symbolizes joy, optimism, and abundance. What a perfect way to bring a little extra sunshine into the day!

The Timbers residents got together to sing some karaoke today. No one took our suggestion of singing “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”🙃

Getting new equipment is always worth smiling about! Gerardo of Reno County has been excitedly waiting for his new Quantum 6 Edge 3 powered wheelchair, and it's finally here!

Once Gerardo was in his new chair, CPRF techs got to work making modifications to ensure it fit his individual needs. They measured and built a custom upper-body positioner right here in the CPRF shop. They also adjusted his footboard height and positioning to prevent the wheels from coming into contact with the corner.

New chair, new possibilities, and a big smile for the whole family. Thank you to United Way of Reno County for supporting the Wheelchair Clinic in Gerardo's region of the state. The world better watch out for this young man! 😎
