The Village Support Network
An organization working to build advocacy, support, and treatment for our community.
Contacting any sort of support is brave! It can also feel intimidating and scary. That is absolutely understandable. However you reach out, even if you sound like Russell, we’re happy to hear from you!
A sprinkle of reality and love if you’re in the “should” cycle of a healing timeline. You’re deserving of support regardless of how “far” postpartum you are.

Needless to say, pregnancy can be hard. And beautiful. And terrifying. And and and.
Starting therapy during pregnancy can help process all of the jumbled messages and feelings. We hold space for the messy. We don’t try to wrap it in a bow.

Our last new member for the time being… and saving it for someone amazing!!!! Welcome to The Village Lacey!!! Lacey was supervised by our very own, Samantha Rose, so we knew she’d be a stellar fit when she reached out. Lacey is compassionate and has great clinical goals that will align with many of our community needs.
Cheers Lacey!
I’ve been seeing this trend where it alternatively says “try again.” It’s meant to be a little silly though, in my opinion, it pushes an “I know better than you” stereotype around therapy.
Although I think therapy could benefit everyone, I can validate why someone wouldn’t want to go to therapy. Everyone comes to therapy with a different story, a different background, a different experience. Autonomy over your decisions regarding your healing is something we value.
We hope to create a space that feels secure for you to ask questions, shape new experiences, and challenge the systems we have in place. If you don’t want therapy now, we’ll keep working to provide that space for others. You’re welcome if/when you’re ready ✨

Our caregiver support group has transitioned to online!! We hope this increases accessibility for families and caregivers across Kansas. The group is ran by a dietitian, Michelle Riggs, and a therapist, Sierra Ness, who are both providers in The Village!

With so many messages coming through from social media, well meant but harmful comments, and more, we wanted to share a bit of info that may help decipher them.
If you are working through your relationship with food and body, you’re not alone! Contact The Village today for support!

Eat well, be kind.
Eating well means eating enough, eating to respect your body, eating mindfully, eating with friends to connect further, eating even when your brain tells you to restrict, eating foods that aren’t the “healthier” version, and more. Eating well ALSO makes it way easier to be kind… ever heard of being hangry? Well, eating well helps that.
Take this as a reminder for your Friday 🫶
